Did you have a tough time getting those rubber tray caps off? Mine were on with maybe the strongest glue possible, it was probably the worst part of the entire foothold install

I haven't done the quick steer mod but I don't believe it will give you much more throw, just quicker steering. But I think it's a good call to order that cable and then use whatever turnplate you like. One of the best mods I've done to my ski so far.

i'd invest in this setup too: http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/68034-2008-2010-Steering-system-NEW**** improves steering throw massively without having to invest in a pre 08 or a/m pole. super easy install too.

i'd think yamaha put it on for a reason.. when you come down hard sideways it will help give more support to the carbs. probably helps tamper vibrations too.. i'd replace it. by the way, i kept my fuel selector too.. im usually all of the river so it comes in handy a lot of the time when i'm...

do the head pipe bolts really need to be torqued to 30 ft*lbs? I just tighten them up real good with my ratchet.. How hot does the head pipe and expansion chamber get? Routing lines around them and wasn't sure how close a water line should get to either

Don't have everything hooked up yet, just got the motor back in, hooked up most of the fuel, haven't put together my bilge mess which is most of those wires all over the place. So it's a bit of a mess. I will be cleaning up the hoses and wires when I get it ready for riding. Thanks for the...

So got it all done other then hooking up the final water lines and electrical for the bilges. Ended up turfing over the dash too which came out really well. (don't mind the mess in the engine compartment, not everything is hooked up) Haven't fired her up yet, but I'm not too worried. Now she's...

Well, I will start there then. It will definitely take some fine tuning. First pipe so I will have to learn all the nuances

Instructions say use the stock bolts, they only sent me the three bolts to attach the head pipe to the manifold

I'm not sure yet, probably close the bottom and middle.. keep the top open 3/4 maybe. Adjust from there I guess. I'm looking for good bottom end hit, maybe some mid range but I gotta see how throttle response varies with different pipe settings

went to home depot and picked up some nuts and looked for some smaller bolts of the same size but the step smaller length was threaded all the way up. Well I got the two bolts cut and in. Had to grind down my wrench to tighten those middle two bolts. How tight do you guys go on those two? I...

Thanks cattledog So the two center bolts for the b pipe manifold are too long. Anyone have any tips to shorten these? I don't have any nuts to put on the bolts so I can rethread the end of the bolt after I cut it. Is it difficult to file these bolts to get the threading back?

Removed the choke system and installed a primer system on the carbs.. Rejetted also with 135 main and 75 pilot. Got one tamper plug out but it was quite a hassle so i'm going to go get a hammer pull tomorrow and see if that works. Any tips for an easier way to get these out would be great...
