I would try another one if somebody other than waterdawg made a conversion pipe that was not the lay down style for it.
I think I would have been better off hacking up a stock hull and OEM 66E pipe to make the motor fit.
I went out and snapped a couple pics but my computer isn't letting me upload them. they are in decent shape, no significant corrosion, one carb is missing the screws that hold it to the manifold.
The point of the tubes is to keep the water that's coming in from getting sucked/splashed directly into the intake. I also think it's to muffle intake sound.

It surprises me to hear that coming from somebody who owned a REV, Mine had some issues that would prevent me from calling it "amazing" or anything other than "what else do you expect for the money".
