I attempted to ride a friend's 550 when I was 14 or so and it always stuck in the back of my mind. I bought a 550sx shortly before I turned 21 and since then I've owned almost every ski Kawasaki's sold, one aftermarket hull and look at me now, I'm back to a 20 year old superjet.
I'd bet the foam is waterlogged, I thought I was gaining weight because the back of my ski would sink so easy until I rode my friend's which was much better.
No. In fact I don't think it would be possible to break it without something catastophic happening first. I noticed we still have a chunk of it so I measured the wall- it's about 1/16" .
Does anybody know how thick the tubes on a RRP are?
I don't sub as often as I used to. I'm used to not draining without forward movement because usually my bilge is dead so the only drain that's working is the one way.
Has anybody added a second stock siphon setup or upgraded to a larger one? How much power (if any) do they really rob? I'm not a fan of electric bilge pumps and wouldn't mind removing my one way while I have my ski apart.
