I have no idea. I think the jb marine may be good if it says it stands up to fuel. I used the plane in weld. If you want the best adhesive bead blast with 36to80 grit and wash it with acetone. Prep is most important.
Also check your battery cable ends. Bad grounds? Bad terminals. If your battery turns over the ski good sometimes and other times it doesn’t you could have a terminal going bad. Pull and twist on them if you can break them that are trash. This can also cause excessive heat and tax on a battery...
Also pressing the two bearing together with a shim will create excessive side loading of the roller bearings and they weren’t designed for that. ( I would expect them to fail rather quickly).
Application you are describing would be like tapered roller bearing like found in a trailer axle.
Thanks for the tag. As for the spacer idea it should not be necessary. The bearings are likely failing. There is always continuous forward load on the front bearing when the pump is loaded. This is From the prop pressing the water back through the pump. The press fit of the rear bearing should...
Whoa, if you’re jumping the solenoid
and you have a good battery then either a wire is bad or your starter is bad. I missed the part where you said you were jumping the solenoid
An MSD brain doesn’t care whether your starter solenoid is on or not. If it’s not turning over its not because something in the brain is not telling it not to. it should be because either the start stop harness is bad or the solenoid or the starter or grounding wires or cables.
If you changed the ignition map (which I would say you have advanced it over an oem or msd enhancer. You will need to retune the carbs. With timing advance and hot msd spark you have the ability to burn more fuel for a longer duration befor tdc. Tune according. More power comes from more fuel...
You have to have the pills. I have most any you might need. It has a retard rate pill, a begin rpm pill and a high rpm limited pill. It’s super simple. So you set your static at say 32 degrees. Then you plug in a 3 degrees per thousand retard pill and say you plug in a 4000 rpm start pill. For...
Also generally the triple fires every 120 degrees. A twin every 180. So it would not just be removing one. The two left would still be in the wrong location.
