The rail bolts are in there with loctite. I would check to make sure they are tight but wouldn't bother pulling them out. I did manage to get the motor mount bolts in from the bottom without pulling the rail off, little tricky but not bad once you figure it out.
If the trailer has a ramp door put the ski on a beach cart, roll into the trailer, strap ski and beach cart down as one. Doesn't get much easier than that.
When installing the chamber on the RRP exhaust should the chamber be pushed all the way into the coupler so that it is flush with the exhaust manifold or should there be a gap between the flange on the manifold and the flange on the chamber?
Well I pulled the sponsons off and compared them. Couldn't find much noticeable difference between the two. Left me scratching my head as to why they appear so different on the two hulls.
Then I figured it out. The bond rail is about a 1/4" longer/wider on my hull just in front of the sponsons...
I will pull them both off for a comparison picture to get a better idea. The lengths looks to be about the same. The angle and radius of the trailing edge of the sponsons are definitely different.
I have ridden my buddies hull both with and without the sponsons. It makes the ski feel like two...
I was talking to Brandon Lawlor at wavedaze, he was telling me that rickter modified the sponsons some on the newer hulls.
I just picked up my Edge today. the sponsons and rear bond rail have definitely been modified from the previous hulls
Here are the sponsons that are on my hull
Here are...
A double bolt setup is the only way to get a true tight pole. A single bolt will only get it sort of tight. When using a double bolt setup you need to double nut each bolt. Lock the nuts together and use plenty of red loctite.
I was getting ready to purchase an ignition from ATP. I was debating between a ts2 or epic because I was not sure whether I wanted TL. While I was in this process of debating this user started having this issue so I decided to wait and see how it was resolved before I made my final decision...
Superjet prices have decreased big time over the last year or two. Two years ago $3500 for a clean round nose would have been a steal. Nowadays it's a fair price. I see lots of superjets priced at 2012 prices and the sellers wonder why they can't sell the ski.
I went from a skat 140 to a Solas 144 simply because of prop selection. With my 781 I could honestly not tell much if any difference between the two pumps performance wise. Price for price I'd go with a Solas 144 but occasionally the skat 140's pop up for sale dirt cheap and are a great option...
First batch of hulls (besides those for pros and demos) is coming in December and have all been sold. RRP is taking orders now for the next batch that is coming in March.
