I like surf better but that could be because when I go it is a big awesome trip. I love riding flat water but I'm always working and practicing tricks that I want to do in surf.

Super glad you got your ski back, definitely shows the strength of this community and a warning to any other dip :-):-):-):-) out there who is thinking there will not be ass whopping a plenty for stealing anyones rides. I have a freak carbon badass -8.5, it is a great ski! Very easy to ride, stable, rides nose low, light as hell, super easy recoveries and very forgiving. Ski flips and spins easier than any other ski I have ridden and you can pin it across the lake without it trying to walk out from under you...

Had one, thought it was too much of a one trick pony. Flipped and spun easily kinda sucked for everything else. It was fun if you were riding 30ft. Off the shore line and would definitely ride again if available but would not own.

I'm running the exact same prop in my sxr (9/17 -5) and love it. Way more responsive for free ride and really woke the ski up. I did the prop and high compression head at the same time, made the sxr so much more fun.

I cannot speak for the other motors but for over a year I have been running a ss/pv dasa 850, b pipe 144 mag pump and 10/16 hooker in a heavy ass Rickter and I like it BUT, the reason I like it is because it makes smooth power low and hits strong through the mid range. Perfect for me as a surf...
