Freestyle I'm scratching my head at this one...........

Ok here the huge mistake people make. Stock Cyl running 230psi compression has the same compression ratio as a dasa at 165psi. You always have to factor in the exh port height. Cranking compression does not give you the whole story!!!! You have to look at the compression ratio and the...

    RIP John Dady

John and I go back to late 80's when he was just a preppy dressing kid with Fabio hair and million dollar laugh and always smiling. John finished my helmet a couple months ago and I just picked up my super jet today. I will carry the greatest honor of knowing I have the last ski JBlo ever...

    Spark plugs in watercraft

That electrical noise you speak of was primarily caused by solid copper spark plug wires and none resisted spark. That same noise can cause disruption in the Cdi box and make the box incapable of reading the pulse coil signals properly and cause timing issues or backfires.

    Spark plugs in watercraft

Are you sure your running B8eg?? Not BR8eg? If so are you using the NGK BLUE 5k resistor caps?? Also keep in mind the EG,EV, EIX, are all performance spark plugs that come with a much higher price tag then ES. The EYA is same price point as ES. THERE economy plugs As for the ES COMING IN...

    Spark plugs in watercraft

Multi ground plugs work great with magneto based ignition or large saturated enductive couls. There not made for CDI

    Spark plugs in watercraft

200 compression stock ignition Yes total loss can run slightly higher gap. But in a salt water I wouldn't recommend it as it will cause spark arcing

    Spark plugs in watercraft

Most iridium plugs are to noisy for get ski application. If your seeing arcing from wires to head. You might wanna take your head off and clean the dome to shell contact. Your loosing your grounding of the spark plug.

    Spark plugs in watercraft

Bp is an extended tip Es will reduce fouling some but still requires same spark energy as ES B8eg is none resister plug and will cause electrical noise that will cause timing I consistancy. With MSD product the b8eg will crash the ignition ability to process pulse signals properly.

    Spark plugs in watercraft

I got a few PM regarding this so I will try to explain. The BR8ES or the ES LINE of sparks plugs is designed for air cooled generators and motorcycles. These plugs are not designed for high comp water cooled applications. They require a lot of spark energy to fire at high rpm's as they where...

Freestyle I'm scratching my head at this one...........

That's 170psi comp no power valve stick timing on 62t with mild porting. Ran pump gas br8es plugs lasted about 5hrs. Advanced timing, went to 9series plug and larger high speed jet. No more peoblems

Freestyle I'm scratching my head at this one...........

I'm actually surprised more people don't do this. With 170+ comp on pump gas advanced timing and 7-8 heat range plugs and clear or light colored gas cans. Big reverse jetting and I see this being a common problem.

Freestyle I'm scratching my head at this one...........

I don't understand why people run 7-8 heat range plugs on pump gas on a high performance engine ??

Freestyle I'm scratching my head at this one...........

Welcome to the world of detonation. That's what caused it. Might wanna rethink your timing curves and what color your gas cans are.

    Superjet with corrosion problem

The use of a silicone spray and constant washing with soap and water will greatly reduce it. Without pics here my speculation. The new boat is a darker color there for heats up more and causes condensation under the hood. The head is poor quality anadise leaving it vulnerable to inner...

    TPE 1200

Performance 1. The TPE and DASA. Have different transfer ports and the case openings at Cyl base gasket are quite different. I have both 1200 motors. Dasa and TPE. The problem we have been chasing with xs1200 is the engine shakes with a violent vibration that makes pipes a challenge. DASA...
