You just need to hit it with more speed and in the exact correct spot on the wake . You can waste a lot of money trying to make a 701 put out the desired power
Your first mistake was thinking it needed a new ring gear if it still worked and had teeth to engage. A buddy had a msd tl flywheel get ground down by a bad bendix . I did the repair and just filed the teeth. They were thin but it works fine. The tbm sxr flywheel has very thin ring gear teeth...
You dont need a rev limiter. I've ran plenty of stock modded CDIs with no limit and nothing blows up from over rev while riding. As for your no start condition, dump some gas down the carb and try it again
A few years ago it cost $1200-$1500 in all materials to build a hull. A bit more for carbon. Do it yourself kits are crap unless all the inserts are put in with a quality jig so everything lines up properly. Another reason a lot of AM hulls were junk brand new

The flatter the tire is, the more surface area so the tire dont sink in soft sand. The grey wheeleze tires are 3lbs. Wet packed sand and the more pressure , the easier it rolls.
