Top side of hood is done, and turned out much better than expected for only the 2nd go around. Just gel coated the bottom part of the hood. Got a gel coat gauge- you can see the indentations on the front flat part of the inner hood. - looks good to me.

I bought a set or 2 of ski molds from a guy. I have some background with composites, but have never made a ski before.- and never did gel coat like this from the inside. I have worked a lot on a prototype composite thing i can't talk about (NDA's) but it has taught me a lot about the process...

If you can find a good hull everything I have heard or seen about wdk the quality is top notch. He lags like crazy getting products from him, but his quality is unmatched.

i have done rear exit on gen 1 x-2's and don't much care for it. I may like it more on the gen 2... guess it could be an option.

I am getting closer to final build of the ski. have been doing mockups. Motor in, motor out, gas tank in, gas tank out, motor in can't put tank in motor out- tank back in, tank out to place waterbox, tank back in motor back in. If you have built a ski you know exactly what I am talking about...
