Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

Also if anyone has any suggestions on how to clean up the inside of this tank that came with the hull, Id like to hear it. Id like to avoid buying another. Some seriously nasty crap in there, left it upside down for a week and nothing even budged.

Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

Im not sure if that was intended to be sarcasm or not but if you cant hear the difference between an empty waterbox and a full one you might want to find a new hobby. Anyway, the tube and foam are in place and glassed in as of a few hours ago so it's staying there. I have 2 layers of 10oz on...

Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

Unfortunately "doing it right" and "on a budget" dont mix. Im just making the best of what I have. :fingersx:

Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

Thanks chad, appreciate the tip i'll keep an eye on it. One real downside to the PVC is how heavy it is. The whole assembly probably weighed 5-7 pounds.

Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

No it wont. I know what my ski sounds like when its not getting cooling, and if i think my cooling is clogged im much more worried about my motor than my exhaust tube.

Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

The gunwales were too warped to do anything with so I straightened them the best I could and said screw it, shes no pageant queen - she just needs to float. They were so warped, in fact, that if i pulled one bend out it would force another bend somewhere else which I determined was too much work...

Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

Finals ended, got a 4.0 this semester wahoo! Have been making some progress, albeit slow progress. I landed on a side exhaust exit, with no silencer. I didnt get much feedback on the size difference so I left it alone. The stainless exhaust tube is a tad smaller than the PVC (about 1/32")...

    Possibly too small power supply?

How old is the PSU and what brand? Before you replace anything, try a different power cord. Sounds weird i know, but Ive had that exact same thing happen. What are the specs of your rig?

    Other coupler weight

    If i were to guess 9 extra holes probably .5x.5 @ Al 6061 = .01lb x 9 = .09lb...give or take? lol

SXR jet power loss. ideas ?

Your probably right, anything that gets caught up in there will cause cavitation which will cause vibration and loss of traction. I ride on a lake and ive had bottle caps, sticks, rocks, cans, etc.. all get caught up in there. Usually they blow themselves out and its all good.

Super Jet Why is this Cheaper than Factory B Wetpipe?

That's an R&D pipe is it not? Sent from my 3VO

    FX-1 tubbies

I have them, they really help give the narrow hull some actual turning ability. The pic is about halfway through my install, but you can see the shape they create.

    Super Jet Midshaft/Pump Build/Rebuild Labor????

I thought you gave me a great price to build my pump up. The only thing I'd add is that I would think you guys can rebuild a pump/midshaft pretty quickly so a flat rate my be more appropriate. But Im not a business owner, and nor do I rebuild pumps and midshafts, so take it for what its worth...

Super Jet Tube Diameter & Exhaust Restriction

My old 750 is what gave me the idea for this. I had a coffman exhaust with no water box for a short period and it really wasn't that loud. So i figure with a stock waterbox and silencer my 701 should be pretty tame. I almost bought a TDR but I got this 12" coffman for cheap. Also tried...

Super Jet Tube Diameter & Exhaust Restriction

Thats what got me wondering, my mod pipe outlet is only 1/8" larger than the silencer.

Super Jet Tube Diameter & Exhaust Restriction

Bear with me, I searched and came up with nothing. I want to add an inline silencer to my exhaust routing under the tray (I hate loud skis). The silencer i picked up has roughly 1 3/4" OD with the ID being slightly smaller. Im nervous to run this one because once I button up the tray I do not...

    Freestyle 750 engine

Id go with the big pin. Some have said the small pin offers better bottom end but in my opinion the big pin pulls better everywhere. If anything the bottom end is the same between the two and big pin owns the mid high ranges. The two motors I ran were both bone stock so that's what I'm basing...

Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

The orange line? Air compressor hose from home depot. $13 for 50ft. It works great, just have to cut your lengths right to avoid kinks because the PVC jacket in it is pretty stiff.
