Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

Only reason I did that with the lines was because I had the parts on hand. If i did it again Id try to find some better bulkhead barb fittings. It has its advantages - the barbs are easier to connect/disconnect than the tubes. The siphon situation is nice, no need for that goofy special 3/8 to...

Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

Ill fill it with epoxy, not a big deal just surprising. Mix up some peanut butter and plop it in. That's what im afraid of lol. Easy way out is: Leave the handlepole mount where it is, drill new holes for fx bracket. Modify pole/bracket to work with extra throw. Foam, and create my own nose...

Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

Yamaha sucks at glueing. After seeing how crappy the glue job was i decided to do a little experiment. I plugged all the holes and filled the entire engine bay with water. Lo and behold, the bondrail was leaking water out. I dont know if this ski was a lemon or what, but there are some massive...

    First UTV BackFlip

Sorry but no clean landing = no backflip imo. Not to mention that ramp has extra ramps for the front wheels, kinda cheating you know....Neat video though.

Super Jet SN Custom Build - Risen from a watery grave

Ran 2 cooling lines, siphon line, trim cable tube, and steering cable tube. The cooling lines and siphon line im not sure about. I had these brass fittings lying around and decided to give this method a try, hope it holds up. The siphon line worked out nicely, its a 3/8" barbed coupler on the...

Other Salt Water! everything is stuck

I remember a thread a while back where someone had the same issue with a 650 motor. Ended up breaking the water jacket off the head with the dome half still corroded to the head. Glad I dont live near salt

    Eyefinity? Anybody try it?

It wasn't the drives performance that was bad, it was just an expensive addition that ultimately didn't make much of a difference. It's boots hella fast, but I almost never shut my computer down completely. I saw almost zero performance increase on games other than loading. But my max load...

    Eyefinity? Anybody try it?

NVIDIA all the way for multiple monitors. I have never had a microstuttering issue with dual GTX 560 TI's. I also purchased an SSD, and was quite dissapointed. I like my raid 0 setup much better. Sent from my 3VO

Freestyle Who wants actual dyno numbers?

It would be nice to have some sort of reference on the actual power output. Be interesting to see the spread between ported standard bore, BB, strokers, and baby PV motors.

    Custom/Hybrid conversion ski need input

I read your other thread and have a little bit of respectful advice. I understand your "work with what I have" approach, but I dont think you realize how much a conversion like this will cost you. More than a good used superjet would be my guess. That being said, you will need to fab up an...

Super Jet 701 Teardown & repair- How far would you go?

Frosty gives good advice. Weather your compression really is low or not, you have verified leaks and must tear your motor down. This is the perfect time to check for worn bearings or other damage possibly causing the low compression. New seals, rebond cases, and new rings/hone while your there...

    Sub trouble

When I was learning I found that timing was more important than any amount of muscle. Timing the pull-up and throwing weight forward motion was key, in fact i throw my weight forward a tad bit sooner than I pull up the tray. I often overrotate subs that way. Now its kinda second nature and it...
