That's actually a well known fact on this half of the world. What it all comes down to is perspective. I guess I'm just used to riding boats that can get on top of chop and don't want to just roll over and die in corners

All freestyle / free ride aftermarket skis are garbage for cove rides/lake cruising.

If the "shock" is present only when the engine is running, that's a pretty clear indicator that it's coming from the stator.

Water in your flywheel cover. If the start stop switch was some how shorted it would shock you even if the boat wasn't running. Does the shock get stronger as rpm increases?
