So, I thought i'd update this thread as i have just completed the 3 Euro rounds. I stuck with the 144 solas and rode the 61x +5mm.
The last 3 weeks where a big learning curve in terms of competition riding and the wave size was'nt really that great. Portugal threw up some good lumps on just one...
I have done all the usual tricks mate, they're just the route of most issues in surf.
I'll bag a load of crap ones up and send them over to be refirbed.
That sounds like a good shout. I've got a few 'dodgy' ones I could send over, shame I'm on the other side of the pond.

We've had the same with Gomez and Ho's skis here. They're getting delivered to us today ready for the journey down next week. Can imagine how scary it is trusting dreaded shipping companies with your pride nd joy.

How did you make that rear hold James, looks really good like what Gomez uses. Be interested in doing one like it? I just tried a footstrap in place of my right hold but my foot slips out when i surf ride.
Build is looking good dude. Just one thing i see is those hood straps, i've seen loads fail and hoods come off....I'd run a ratchet type instead. Last thing you want is your hood coming off from a said landing :eek:
Yes i did think that and i'll run the idea by Loki to see what he thinks, will need to upgrade carbs to something like 44's to i'd say.
