Fuel in at the bottom of carb from tank return line is the top you probably switched them on accident? can you suck gas through the line? Did you check your diaphragms?
I'd only run oem starters just my opinion after market ones have never worked out for me tuned correctly after priming once the ski should easily fire immediately with out having to re prime
Bore your nozzle if you think it's loading up to much in your pump reverse jetting will help it be more snappy if it is stock 760 port timing those cylinders can still hit very hard if jetted correctly
When your pump loads does it feel like the prop spins/ slips or loads up to much? Without knowing what prop you are running I'd suggest a lower pitch than what you were thinking like a 7/14 or maybe 9/15 big hub
It's relative to your prop/pump if your ski loads the pump to hard a bored nozzle will help if your prop almost spins/slips a bored nozzle would make it worse
