I was considering a used carbon FS-1. That why I started this thread. I wonder if the lighter weight would cause it to wave ride not so good. I had an XFT with SX-R style bottom and it was a super scary handling ski. Had to add weight to make it turn. Hated that ski.

Spent a lot of time surf riding a FR-2 today. Amazing ski for surf riding and re-entries. Lands so soft compared to my RN w/tubbies. Going to be buying a Rickter for sure. Was curious if the FS/FR-1 felt the same way in the surf as the FS\FR-2. Anyone rode both?

I would order a Superjet. LoL. The 650Sx is a good ski. You just need to start hitting it.

If you sink your Rickter does she go down to the bottom or is there enought float to keep the tail up?

Super clean build, Looked like 100% taylors work on the reinforcements. Now you have to go bigger.

You can test the stator with an ohm meter. I have the test info for a 62T stator. I have had a loose stator cause some weird problems too.

Paul did the rebuilds but not the original porting or setup. He used ProX pistons and the piston that was still good had cracks all the way around the skirts. I just sent the the whole setup off to Jetworks to see if it can be rebuilt. Sounds like wisecos are the way to go to prevent this...

My ABLE munched some pistons and crank almost a year ago and I just shelved it. Been thinking about sending it off to get it redone. LPW has done it the last two times with new ported cases, 9 months to finish it the first time. 6 months the last time. It only lasted 5 months until a piston...

That's what you get....He He Amazing they lasted so long. Stan grabbed my motor once and said "Dude all your motor mounts are busted" I had no idea. The kenny keepers kept the motor in place and as long as i did not land up side down I was fine. Rode the ski in the surf three more times before...
