    RN Hood rebuild

Is there any reason why you couldn't make the transition from the cut piece to the rest of the hood smoother? I know, it's a bit of extra work, but if you could get it right, and make a plug..... :) Also, as far as the liner is concerned, another way to do it would be to get some lycra, and...

    Advent wiring

Yeah, there really is no solution to the problem that is still there. I did get one Advent recently that worked perfectly for about 10 minutes before I had no spark, and then back to the same old problems. Don't get me wrong, they are a great ignition, but I need something that I know is...

Flywheels (Charging) - Stock lightened VS Aftermarket

You can't go wrong with the total loss flywheel. It's well worth the money for the added snap. I thought I had snap before, but the TL proved me wrong! Being able to dial in your curves and set individual cylinder timing is a bonus too... ;)

    Advent wiring

I ran the #6 curve mostly, it's quite good. As for the others, I had the kick back no matter what curve I was running. A timing light confirmed that it was starting with maximum advance, so it was struggling.

    Advent wiring

Yeah, just leave the brown/white unconnected, well, you'll have nothing to connect it to anyway. Let us know how the CDI goes. I'm especially intrested in seeing if it starts properly, or kicks back on the starter because it's too advanced.

    701/Big Bore Porting Question

Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing. I have a 61x cylinder that has been bored to 84mm (not re-sleeved) and wondering how much the tranfers should be opened up to accomodate the extra cc's. It's not a hi-po engine or anything, just needs to be reliable. I guess they could be just left...

your opinions on R&D dry pipe

Hmm, I tend to disagree. I swapped out a b-pipe for a type 9 in my Superjet recently. It fits better, doesn't rub on anything, and has more bottom end punch than I was ever able to get with the limited chamber. I've had zero problems with the couplers on the 2 type 9's I've run. A new...

Any good repair for the factory defect?

My last 2 Superjets had this same problem. From the factory, the foam filler holes are only covered by stickers. This, mixed with the other areas that aren't sealed up properly mean that water WILL get in there eventually. When you leave your ski in the sun, the water/foam heats up...

    Alloy pump shoe

Dammit! Well, there might onyl be 2 of them available, the JD one and the R&D. I'm pretty sure that the Blowsion one is just a JD one. Hmm, I might have to go and take my old one back!

    Alloy pump shoe

So I was doing a gps run last night and elongated the holes in my plastic pump shoe enough that it hung down about an inch below the hull. My question is, who makes the alloy pump shoes that have the mounting holes pre-drilled and the intake grate mounting holes that have brass inserts and...

    08 superjet

I had no real trouble getting the tail to slide around, it just takes a different approach... I quite like it, it's half way between a pre 08 SJ and an SXR.

    TL blinking LED

Yep, when the motor turns over, the LED blinks as the flywheel magent passes over the pickups (even in normal running mode). When you kill the engine, the LED will slowly blink on and off until the power is cycled to the brain. This is normal, and that info is direct from MSD themselves.

    08 superjet

I'll have a new one to test by this Friday in both surf and flat water. I race and freestlye, so I'll give it a good workout too.

    Carb Advice Needed

Get yourself a range of springs, and start low. If you are using a stock flame arrestor, you'd probably want to start a bit higher. Try around 20psi with prok's and 25psi with stock arrestor. All setups are different, so change it out and tune the bottom end to suit. If it's not crisp, and...

Yep..SXR's can flat water roll as well! *Vid*

Heh...nah, I can only just do a half tard flat water roll on my Superjet! Yeah, unfortunately the Elmo's are about $1100 Oz dollars, which is pretty steep I think. When you think about it though, a decent camcorder and external camera run about the same price. I have a mate that has one...

Yep..SXR's can flat water roll as well! *Vid*

Just hunting around for a new helmet cam setup and thought I'd see if the Elmo had come down in price... Check out the new vid here...Jet Ski Freestyle The cleanest birds eye view of an SXR roll I've ever seen! Sure, the guy riding is probably about 30kg ringin wet, but it's a pretty good...

    Anybody (else) use shin guards?

Ross... I use the Asics tennis shoes, which are really thick and springy on the sole...Pretty much all the Asics have really good water drainage mesh, and they last a long time. I walk to work in mine every day, and ski with them every second or third day. No rot, no soles falling apart...

    Superjet Tbm Flywheel

Most of the gain of total loss system come from the light flywheel, and I agree it's REALLY nice. How much did you pay if you don't mind me asking?
