What's with all the molds for sale

most every hull builder uses the cheapest materials they can buy which is one reason most hulls are junk. its only $200 more in materials to use quality carbon over glass and its between $1200 and 1500 total to build a hull.2k maybe max with nothing but the best. if you don't put more matt in...

New RP Race Performance exhaust chamber

wet pipes raise engine compartment temps higher than dry pipes also, which means a less dense oxygen supply to the motor, which creates less power. cold dense air means more air in the motor. that's why you have to turn screws out in the winter and in ,in summer. if your pipe sizzles when water...

New RP Race Performance exhaust chamber

ski clinic was running the XS1200 before the tpe and they said the bun pipe created a lot more power than the power factor. the stinger on the bun ended up in a weird spot and from what I remember, they had the waterbox in backwards or upside down.

    Buyer Beware Camojoe157!

camel toe joe is fairly local to me ,about an hour and a half drive. I had a similar experience with him a few years ago, when he met me, to sell me his FR2 evo hull. he forgot to bring the title and a bunch of little stuff that was supposed to be included. I played hell getting ahold of him...

    2015 superjet slow cranking

loosen the bolts a bit on the flywheel cover. if the Bendix is too tight, this will let it spin freely. on a kawi based PV motor, somebody put a washer on back side of the Bendix where they don't go. another washer was put on the cover side and with the cover tight , it was bound up. it took...

    WDK Laydown pipe

if I remember correctly, the old WDK cast manifold is the one that the pfp chamber works with. the newer billet wdk manifolds are way too big at the coupler to work with anything, including the garbage wdk chambers. steer clear of all wdk junk if at all possible

    SBT Adonis impeller?

big hub props work better than small hub props even on small hub stators. the big hub prop pushes the water towards the outside of the pump, so you get less turbulence in the space that's wasted in there/closer to the hub. that's one reason why more veins and larger hubs/pump stuffers work...

Broken steering bracket, can this be repaired? How do I fix this?

i said steel rivets, not stainless and they do rust. use black nail polish to paint the heads and the plastic pole base cover covers the rivets anyway. stainless is softer than steel also but better than aluminum. you can always drill holes and put rivets between the stock rivet holes adding...

Broken steering bracket, can this be repaired? How do I fix this?

you shouldn't have even used the aluminum rivets. they aren't going to hold. drill them out and throw them away. get steel rivets. the tighter in the holes they are, the stronger its going to be. if they wiggle, just drill it out and get the next bigger size and use them. I think I used 1/4"...

Anyone ran stock nozzle diameter on a 148 pump?

if its over propped, a smaller nozzle is not going to make anything better. over prop means the motor doesn't have enough power to spin it. boring the nozzle is making the exit less restrictive so the prop can spin easier and the motor can get into its powerband faster. same with cone size...

Broken steering bracket, can this be repaired? How do I fix this?

not the prettiest weld I've ever seen especially for a pro welder but it looks good enough to me. I've never broke the head part before but bases , yea. the head rivets came loose on one pole so I shortened it at the top. it was a major pain to get it back to rigid at the top. always shorten at...

    Are tank breathers really needed?

everybody that I consider a guru says the one way valve is not necessary. I always shake my head when the first answer to most problems is replace or check that valve. maybe tank pressure was needed to help the very weak fuel pumps on the old mikuni round body carbs back in the dinosaur days
