solas props are not near as quality as skat. solas is very soft stainless that bends easily and skat is a harder springier stainless.
soft stainless solas polish easily and skat is brushed hard to polish stainless

I've sank them so bad the only thing sticking out of the water was the ride plate. water gets in the gas tank, electrical box, flywheel cover and all.
I take the feed line off the carbs and blow into the gas tank and let the water run until its mostly gas.

if you tried to crank it over with the cases full of water, you may have bent and grenade a reed petal.
if you now start it up and see fuel and vapor spraying up out of the carb top, its definitely a bad reed.
when I sink a motor, I lay it over on the carb side and just let most of the water run...
nick at carbon tech and his crew ran blackjack carbs on their superjets back in the late 90s/early 2000s.

that's funny, I know a guy that bought the sxr hull that joeys watercraft and TBM built and was in the 2003 issue of watercraft illustrated.
he put a big pin 750 with the sxr dry pipe and it ripped.
he blew up the 750 and put in a 650 with the sxr dry pipe and it still ripped. lol
