    Actually the alloying elements have quite a bit to do with the corrosion resistance, but you can only improve it so much.

    Aluminum bronze. There ya go, no need to anodize. As an added bonus, marine life won't grow on it. It's a PITA to machine though. Technically it's only 10% aluminum, but if you are looking for an aluminum that is impervious to corrosion and don't want to anodize it, you're not going to find it...

    Many moons ago I was getting into RX7s and was hunting down an LSD for a T2 swap. Registered on Rx7club.com as LimitedSlip7 and have been using it ever since. Damn RX7s. I would have a 30lb carbon footrocket with a 1400cc by now if it wasn't for that damn thing.

    Yea, but I'm just not going to have $1500+ to spend on the pump after I buy the motor and carbs. It would be on pump gas, b-pipe, and a charging electrical system to neuter it down a bit.

    $700 to rebuild a crank?! Dang, I was figuring it would be more around the $300-400 range. I guess it depends on what bearings you go with. I might have to figure out how to do it myself if I'm going to be doing it once a year, it can't be that hard.
