I wanted to use 1" pad on the top and bottom; I damn near broke my big toe last spring on my previous no-padding front foothold so I'm not going to risk that again.
I don't know how all you hull builders sell these things for the prices you do without cheap mexasian labor. This is the 3rd/4th build I've done and it's still a crapton of work.

That was 102nd7's idea. Hopefully it works well and makes cold weather riding more enjoyable. I've never ridden a ski with foot or hand warmers so we will see...
