I have just put a sbn 38 on my 300 with kerker pipe.
I am running a 1.5 needle / seat, .60 pilot jet and a 1.0 mainjet and a 90gram pop off spring.
It runs good on the trailer but i havent tested it in the water yet. I will let you know after i test it out next weekend.
At least your blowsion air filter looks cool! All i can think is maybe the small water jet holes inside the header pipe are blocked. They spray water direct into the chamber like how a b pipe head pipe works on a superjet only the mariner and kerker are not adjustable. If those holes are blocked...
Hi PowerRanger I have never seen a rear exhaust conversion kit for a 300. Im building a 550 hull with rear exhaust at the moment with plans to put my 300 motor in it. I think you could make something up if you are good at making stuff. Good luck!
Hi Jiig you will have to pull the motor out and take the back cover off. You will need to take the coupler off and then as mentioned one of two things could be wrong. If the starter bendix is loose on the taper then you may be able to lap the taper and get it to tighten up. A workshop can do...
300s are awesome! I have a pjs scoop grate on my js300 and it definately hooks up better in the chop then the stock one the only con was a small loss in top speed which was not alot and in my opinion worth it for a better handling ski.
I cant speak for the mariner pipe having not tried it but it does look similar to the kerker that im running. They do get hot being stainless and spraying bugger all water into the actual chamber!
On mine I did away with the stock venturi and used the thru hull line to run dual cooling from...
firstly you need to make sure that you have the right pipe for your 300. Kerker made a similar pipe for the 300sx as well which wont fit the js. Mine came with all the hardware to bolt straight up and i found the hose diagram on the internet.
I have heard that cutting a 650 head gasket in half makes 2 js300 head gaskets other then that the 300 is a unique piece of equipment unlike any other jetski.
Im not sure if everyone hates them or if there are just not many still running after 25 years. They take a bit of patience to keep running and the simplicity of doing a motor swap to a 550 gets too tempting for most people. I have a kerker pipe, carbon reeds, reed spacer, bn38 carb k&n air...
Here are some pictures of the 300 i have just finished putting together.
Im running a bn38 at the moment which went really good with the stock pipe but now after i put the kerker pipe on it seems to be running too lean. I have just drilled the main jet out by .1mm but havn't tested it yet. Has...
I have a js300 with almost every bolt on accessory available for them. I love these skis so much just to spite the haters really. At the moment im running a bn38 on my 300. I have a sbn38 that I would prefer to run but cant seem to get the jetting right.
Has anyone ever had any luck with...
I always wonder about this every time i hear the words Flat deck" There was a scary video posted not too long ago of a de-foamed ski sinking it disappeared Fn fast.
Backflips in the surf take more then just balls some of you guys on here talk about them like they are easy for anyone. I took a beating over and over learning to flip there is so much to take in and its all about timing and judgement.
Re-entries look cool when they are big.
When i started...
I use these Motobat batteries in all my skis. http://www.motobatt.com/ They have a 2 year warrenty and are the sealed glass mat type.
They have serious cranking power compared with the stock lead acid type ones that i used to use. The vented ones also fill up with salt water when they are...
Zach bright cleaned up i can tell he is a good rider by the way the a$$ never drops out of his rolls like so many others do and his flips are clean as even when he hits the waves killer late. That was the first time i have seen him ride and i straight away thought of Pierre. Good show dude you...
