I'm sure that's true, I know it sounds crazy but my ultimate goal is to build a powervalve twin for speed and I already have a few traditional superjet pipes from back in the day I'd like to use
Ah
That's not too bad. I was under the impression the stock carbs we'rent easy to adjust. And the guys giving the adivce were Looking at it from a gp class perspective.
However, amost every 1100 I see has the parts I mentioned on it.
I agree with you I prefer twin motors. The weight of the 1100 and other factors caused me to sell the motor I had before really getting into the engine swap
You need carbs, ignition, and Ada head for an 1100 to really come alive. It getd kind of pricey when you add it up. I was gonna put one in a s.j. and this is what I was told by very reputable racers that I trust.
General question about these motors (tpe 1105/dasa 1100 etc), whats the upper end rpm range they typically would rev to with a dry pipe and total loss or even a charging igniton with an enhancer? Just curious. I realize tiny tachs may not often be used on freestyle skis for tuning. (Please no...
The glass lays out as smooth as the surface underneath. I smooth everything out with epoxy then put two layers of 6oz down and feather that out with 80 grit
Dustless blasting is different than sand blasting. We had some body kit panels for a lancer Evo done this way. It won't blow a hole in it but you will have some bodywork to do. Its not an ideal process but it gets the job done efficiently and you have a 100% clear foundation to start with...
You gotta sand it one way or the other man. Paint needs a mechanical bond to last.
Would advise against fiberglass stripper it's nasty stuff and will contaminate bare fiberglass and cause paint issues.
If you absolutely had to get old paint removed from a composite part and start...
What kind of riding are you doing? The stock handle pole might be fine for you with just a lowered bracket and a -1.5 turn plate if you are over 6'. I'm 6'3' and that's all I need. If youre riding freestyle yeah you wanna shorten the handle pole but for just ripping around, carving turns or...
You can use a vacuum cap or a PC of fuel line with a tight fitting bolt wedged in it on the UN used pulse line. If you're worried about a leak just pressure test the engine to make sure.
It's common to advance the stator timing for freestyle riding, if you have an msd enhancer this can put you...
Sorry I didn't see that, you should absolutely replace the impeller asap the stock 90-07 prop was aluminum and cavitates. A solas concord for stock engine, impros hooker 9/15 or 10/16 etc
The absolute first thing every superjet needs in surf without getting too involved with glasswork is to at least replace the bottom tray mat with hydro turf and put down some nice thick under padding. Your body will thank you. That and a bilge pump.
