I was looking at that same stolz piece... glad to know it works. I dont have a winch on my trailer - those are for couches and SXR's!
However, being that my freak is unusable right now, the trailer is not much of a concern.
Crab and jamesgunter68, the only thing worse than waiting for a freak...
Well it looks like my solution is going to be a game of millimeters... I was able to add a .050" (1.27mm) shim in front of the pump bearing. Any more will require machining the cone face and posiibly causing the sealing surface to slide in too far and interference problems with the impeller...
No, definitely not, that shaft is still in the bubblewrap bag.... This shaft was pulled from a stock pump and put into the solas vane section.
I'm going to put the 140 setback Mag together with your shaft and see how it lines up later today. It might prove that the Solas vane is the issue.
I never got any more measurements, but what ScottS describes is what I suspected. Perhaps a Cold Fusion midshaft spacer would help solve our problem, providing of course that there is enough room between the couplers.
Update: found this thread: http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/110333-I-give-up-Solas-pump-help-PLEASE
Perhaps part of my problem is the solas 144 pump stator.
Interesting... I am having the same problem with the solas 144 on my superfreak! I thought it was the hull causing the problem, but your post makes me think it is the pump????
More input needed from other solas pump installs... please!
OK, I've talked to Tem and we both took some mesurements while on the phone. My midshaft will be OK. The driveshaft however will need to be addressed. I am going to reassemble my 140 setback Mag which should be about 1/4" shorter and see if it will work along with pressing my midshaft in...
The current ones do, but mine was very early production, maybe #1 or #2, I'm not sure. Hoping Tem, Lucas or Chris (jetmaniac) might remember.
EDIT: For reference, this one is mine - http://www.x-h2o.com/threads/98758-2011-Full-length-SUPERFREAK-carbon-hull&highlight=
Ran into a snag putting my freak together last night... puzzled...
Midshaft (Stock SJ) is too long - perhaps Tem had mine setup for an early GP800/1200/1100 raider midshaft (122mm)??? Also the driveshaft (also stock SJ) sticks through the bulkhead so far that the splines bottom out and...
Sorry, thread is getting jacked!
But yeah, let's get a place and time(s) figured out. Maybe one up north somewhere and one down here at Lake Meredith???
It depends... if it was structural, i used west system with 404 adhesive powder blended in it. If it was mostly cosmetic i used their microlight filler powder, or i used this killer blue superfil lightweight aircraft filler.

I mostly did it because the black plush pad is so much harder to sand and shape. I want to be able to sand down into the footholds deep enough to allow me to use the 1" plush on the tops of the footholds.
And yes i will be padding the front foothold, just not sure how... yet.

Momma's not happy with me at all right now... oh well. Back to massaging the freak!

I just repaired mine on my freak. Didn't even realize it was broken until a friend pointed it out while we were shortening it.
I didnt want to replace it due to my lack of time, so I filled it with slightly-thickened epoxy. There are hollow voids inside the curved portion of the shoe. Mine...
I definitely have the carbs - now trying to find the booster atomizer inserts. Won't work without them. Kevin might have a set so I just left him a message too. Will let you know. You will definitely have to swap all of the linkage off your carbs and possibly the shafts because I had to spin...
