    Nick, I don't know much about those setups, but I've heard good things about the BCW manifold. Seems to me it was the "preferred" manifold for that arrangement. Better runner shape and flow compared to others available. FWIW... :shrug:

    prem1x is running those same carbs on his octane (i think). you might want to send him a pm. im running a set of novi 46's and they rock! I don't think adjusting the flywheel is common practice. rather you get your cdi reprogrammed with an entirely different curve. watcon can do it. Posted...

    This seems to be a common discrepancy, both the method of measuring the pole and they way each manufacturer builds them. My so-called -2" xmetal poles both measure 37.5" pivot to pivot

    Define "ports need to be cleaned up"... Has it been ported? I assume so. The porting and the sleeves would be your major concerns. Most of those Able cylinders were setup for racing. However, A good race cylinder can hit very hard for freestyle and all-around riding. It all depends on the setup...

    Send a PM to "SCuM". He travels to Houston for family and to Nashville frequently for work (or at least he used to). Worth a shot.... In fact I think he might be going to the Lone Star Freeride next weekend. He hauled a hull for me once. Hope he doesnt mind me making the suggestion to you.

    Because the cranking pressure numbers mean nothing! The Polaris engine has totally different porting, larger bore and stroke than a 701 Yamaha. Because of this it needs lower (indicated) compression than a 701 or you will melt it down.
