I basically need everything. The hull is complete and everything else is there like the pump, UMI steering, waterbox, gas tank, etc, but I'll need a motor, carbs, pipe, and electrics.
Actually I'm on casual status until 26 Feb 08 so basically I just sit around getting paid to do nothing.
So I'm going to have quite a bit of time stuck in Mississippi doing nothing so I'd like to start slowly building up this blaster. The Air Force is putting Kelcy and I in a 3...
So I'm trying to decide whether I should build up my blaster for racing or whether I should just pick up a used SXR and get into stock ski racing. Ultimately if I had the money I would love to build a very competitive blaster, but I'm working on a limited budget so I just want to see what I can...
Basically what I'm wondering is am I going to be ok if I run it like this for now?
I just don't want to worry about burning up a top end. I do a compression check every other time I go out and look at the tops of the pistons.
I really have absolutely no time right now to spend tuning it...
The Factory Pipe recommendations are also based on aftermarket FA's so being that I am running a stock FA it should actually be rich.
Also I don't think the Carbon Techs do much. They're just more of a CF stock reed replacement.
I couldn't agree more, but most of the time people go about it the wrong way or they are talking about a company they have never dealt with personally.
This thread is how a negative feedback thread should be written:

Not a problem. I would go to a local tire place that sells smaller tires like golf cart tires. Like I said in the ad a local place by me quoted me $29 for each tire. Maybe Adrian can get the numbers off the tire for you so you can order the tire and have it there for when you get the beach...
Well here are some pics of the spark plugs when I was attempting to tune the ski today.
These plugs are brand new by the way. How long should it take for the white porceline to change color and not be so white?
Actually there is a fine line when trying to get the most top speed out of a ski. You want as much of the hull out of the water without the pump unhooking. The pump has to be hooked up for the most top end. You just want to be on the verge of unhooking.
Anyways I went out today and ran it again with 2.5 turns out on the low speed and 3 turns out on the high speed and it ran a little better. The bog is occasional and very slight. 3 is the most you can turn out and have any affect right?
The plugs still look very lean though.
Would the fact...
Nope we never tried the 72.5's. We tried the 75's and that's when it ran poorly.
I really don't want to advance the timing along with the MSD Enhancer and 185lbs of compression on pump gas. I just think you're playing with fire unless a professional like Chucky or Paul sets it up for you.
