So what paint should i use then to match the factory blue? i want it to match. I have all the gear to paint and or spray gel my dad runs a boat repair facility and they do it all the time. I thought about taking a sample to an autopaint place and get a match which is an option aswell. Also can...
My superjet is sill the factory 2001 blue gel coat (top deck) with original graphics. about 4 years ago i repainted the bottom of the ski an lowered hood/ nose the matching blue using colour rite paint. It looked great for a bit but i ride a lot so after a season or so it started getting...
Could very well be an fx-1 pole. I bought it used being told it was a -4 superjet pole. It was infact around 4'' shorter overall then my rn pole so it is very possible its just a -2 fx-1 pole which makes more sense. I may stick with the 96-07 style cable and see if i cant make a bracket to...
Wondering if somone can help me out here. I have a 2001 sj, and i bought a ac pole for it probly 5-6 years ago. At the time i remember having to cut the pole end of the steering cable 1.5" because from the cable clamp to the steering pivot was 1.5" shorter. No big deal i used a tubing cutter and...
Had mine since 2010. Switched to a later model cable, ground a little clearance into the side of the pump, used steel tube supplied and haven't looked back. I can hardly ride a ski with a stock nozzle even if its been modded. This nozzle turns FAST! rolls are much easier.
If you install it...
it seems fine? ive run 3 tanks thru it since i tore the engine down and replaced the last set of plugs. thing that gets me is i ran thos motor almost 2 whole seasons, had crank rebilt and cyl resleeved this spring. in 11 hours run time, ive broke 3 plugs all on the front cyl. msd boots too fwiw...
my ski ate 3 plugs in the exact same way! all on the front cyl. so i tore the motor apart and it all looked fine. put it back together. i got my plugs off ebay. solid tip br8es. motor is a 6mil lamey freshly rebuilt and has .065 squish. very odd. bad plugs maybe?
prob full of water when you put it away and its had all that time to get looking like that. ive seen a few different skis not used in 5 to 10 years and still be fine. all in how you store it. cant really go riding, then just toss er behind the garage for a year. did u fog it? id be most worried...
I wasn't trying to derail this thread. This isn't about who makes good hulls and doesn't. I was just stating that with all the problems people seem to have with a/m hulls it makes havin a 10 year old sj hull that still does what it's supposed to look pretty good. Especially when you consider the...
Because spending thousands on a hull that's not built well seems stupid to me. I'm not a pro, not sponsored, and ride because I love to ride not so I can have the coolest ski on the x. I can do lots with my stock hull. I'm not into flat water freestyle or huge surf, so for me a stock sj hull is...
Another reason to just stick with a sj. There's a couple nice a/m hills out there but holy it seems you pretty much roll the dice with most of these companies. Bummer man would be interesting to see what he has to say about it
