Never heard that. Only thing thats gonna happen is the motors gonna spin cause theres no load. Then when you draw water back into the intake the prop will 'grab'. I doubt that it will hurt the drive shaft, but maybe its tiny on a 300... I say ride it and don't worry about it.

Try to keep this short and sweet. Have 61x, hammer ported by groupK. Installed ProTec C2 head w/37cc domes. They claim I should see 185psi. I get 155&160. Protec claims it's because of the porting. Is this true? Can it change it that much?

Could be the setting of the low speed screw. How does the ski run once on the water? If the LSS is closed to much it leans out the mixture causing higher idle with the air thats available. The other possibility is the carb gasket. You may have a tear or other slight air leak thats letting a...

Penken, all i'm saying is that I believe that in the not too distant future a ~$2500 aftermarket hull will be available. The people who can afford $5-10k for a hull will have bought one and the manufactures will have to look at what market segment is left to sell to. It won't be a carbon bob...

You mean the gasket below the carb or the intake gasket? The gasket(s) below the carb are new and i've greased them to keep them from tearing etc.

Not to take away from OCD, cause he makes some damn fine products.... But I used that hole to run a auxillary ground wire (6 or 8 guage) from the battery to the e-box ground. Just an idea. As always, make sure you seal it with something awesome.
