I have a 'new to me" pump to put together ...........should have that done by wed.
my little versi plug mod seems to be working good. We rode fr. and sat.--too cold sun. though Brrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
It's kinda hard to tell from the pic, but it looks like your pipe mount is a bit loose. This may be letting your chamber move around a little too much, which could shorten the coupler life. Just a thought.
That coupler looks like it had a little age on it. No big deal. Couplers have to be replaced from time to time. To answer your question, yes, that will make your ski run like crap.
I was about to post that my battery died today ( batteries plus green top). But, I thought "no I'll make sure it's not something else first". Good thing, because it turned out to be a loose hot wire to starter connection. Battery is still good --- 2+ years and counting. I have never weighed...
Any of you local slackers feel like laying out of work tomorrow? I need to go to the lake and try Silver out. Don't really want to go by myself. Weather should be nice.:cheer2:
One of my skis is set up with ( 701) ADA 35cc, type 4 pipe. My compression is around 185. I run 93 octane. We are about 660 ft above sea level. Hope this helps.
Welcome to the X.:beerchug:
Good looking ski. That set up should be pretty fast.
I would think you need to mix a little race gas with a ported 760/ dry pipe set up. Did the previous owner mention what type of fuel they ran?
YAMA CAT and I live in Pinson and ride at Smith, Tuscaloosa...
