I run a single 46 super BN/K&N with with a R&D intake, exhaust manifold pipe set-up. Engine is all original(never cracked open). The pipe added 25-30% more power. I have a 13-19 prop(I think). Lots of mid/low to high power. Sometimes scarry when I get tired.
Bottom line.....hauls azzz for me...
Kind of hard to see the spark out in the sunlight with shade over the plugs.
What kind of MSD did you goto?
I'm going to check the pop-off pressure and spring as well as clean the entire carb and get the coil checked too..
When I get it fired up I could ride it until the tank was dry. Thats...
This is the second time this has happened. My ski seems to flood easy with the 46mm super BN carb. Thinking I might have the wrong pop-off spring(but it has been in there for years of rec riding). It will fire right up and run great but not everytime.Sometimes at cold start up it will either...
Ski hauls azz. I had to fatten-up the low end jetting, but impressed with the power it makes. From what I recall my ski has a 13/19 pitch impeller and I would trade off some top end speed for low end grunt. 0-10mph not so fast,10-30mph is arm ripping, everything over 30 is mello.
OOOOUUUUCCCCHHHHHH
...that hurt my brain reading all that crap.
Tank foam is a special porus foam for fuel tanks that keeps fuel from slamming back and forth in the tank. Without it the fuel in your tank sloshes back and forth with some pretty high forces when you accelerate or turn...
Just put a plate on my '93 750sx. Got it fired up only to find the fuel pick-up is broken and leaking. I have a R&D pipe on it and that alone gave it at least 25% more power. Hope the plate will compliment the pipe perfectly. I'll update as soon as I ride it.
I have a '93 sx stock jug with a 44sbn / r&d intake and exhaust system. From what I recall I have a 175 main jet and a 112.5 pilot in it. It hauls azz from mid bottom to the top end but could use a lil more arm yank on the bottom side of things.
I have spent a little more time on my crf lately...
Sounds like a lean condition. I dont recall if there is a low speed adjuster on that carb. Rich would sputter, lean will bog. Clean the carb and make note of the jet sizes in case the clean out doesnt work. Just my .02 worth.
Just installed a timing advance plate and now seem to have weak spark. I did remove the temp sensor by just unpluging it.
1.Do I have a bad coil?
2.Is it because of thee unpluged sensor?
3.Is the timing plate somehow the culprit?
Many thanks for any and all info!
A slight arc or turn will provide a little more stability and mph. Going straight on flat water is the worst for me. I constantly work the throttle. Its WFO and when the ski pops off of the water I let off to let it get another bite.
Pro moto rider will have skills that will transfer. Try...
