I found a ton of tiny little fibers in a tank once....glogged up the carb filter. Would cause similar symptoms. Also rebuild the carb. Could have a worn diaphragm and clogged filters and gummed up needle and clogged fuel selector......

I tried with pool seam sealer and just didnt get it the way i wanted. Wound up getting 1in trimlok and have had a great seal since. Rode all summer in surf. I like that molding silicone though. Might have to try it next.

It is, i say stainless because its easier to weld than scary aluminum. And would just be a spacer held in place by nice fleabay couplers....

I'm going to derail my own post a tiny bit... has anyone tried welding up a stainless collar to stretch their Factory B pipes out a bit. Like the factory kawi cheater pipes?
