I run xmetal Straight bar shorty steering. I love how agile it is . Your welcome to give my ski a try this week a group is going on a tonka ride. there is room to gain moving the bars closer to pivot point gives you more control and makes it handle alot better IMO.

if i were you id weld some L brackets on those cross bars thats how my trailer is set up and it works well 2x4 work just fine have you figured out your bow stop or way to secure the ski's down

if its a 2012 id just ride the thing and do some of simple performance mods. In order Factory B pipe Hooker impeller Ada girdled head and foot holds from there. the pipe,prop, and head alone will wake the ski up unbelievably.
