hull of tomorrow, the HOT

What is this, Nascar? 2 years from now what are they going to call the "car of tomorrow"? The car? That ranks right up there with people that make their email address or username be something with their current age......like SuperJETT54 or something :bananapowerslide:

but the stern is narrower. put a flush or dcut plate on it and it should be a sick surf ski.
i cant wait to try it out, i need a good cleaning back there!

Good.... I ride flatwater only, so this is great news for me as I was going to shoot myself in the foot if the 08 was much better than the 07... I couldnt wait to get a standup anymore so I bought an 07 last month. Big relief. Maybe will be a better hull design if you ride in the ocean. Personally, I like the black/yellow better too... but that's just me.

I guess the new bottom is better than a beefier motor. You can already buy a sickly powered motor. The AM hulls are lighter but this may handle alot better. Now wait a year and get a superlight new bottom.

I'm also really diggin' the deeper chines too. Flatwater (freestyle) guys are going to hate this hull.[/quote]

To all the nay-sayers...say I nay! I found nothing missing in the new hull. It is still very agile and nimble. It doesn't feel heavy at all, quite the opposite. Straight line tracking is improved. Cornering and turning is a night and day difference. The ski does not like to break loose in cornering, but when you manipulate it, it will slide just as the rn does.

The intake area looks like the blaster, without all of that wasted space in the cavity at the front of the sj like we are accustomed to.

There definitely is a trim ring but in a fixed position. Should be a breeze to convert to a trim up system.

Myself being a flatwater guy predominately...This hull is the real deal and I am totally satisfied and impressed with the handling. Nose stabs were effortless off of nothing. The boat does feel a little bit different but I think the learning curve will not be more than a few rides. I rode it for the 15 minutes they alloted us and was very much at home on it.

One thing I noticed, when cruising at a slow to moderate speed I would have to keep a little closer eye on my balance. I am 205 lbs. and I guess that the narrower hull in the rear and wider in the front is a bit less forgiving at slower speeds. At higher to peak speed the hull works beautifully and extremely predictable.

I want one!!!

If you blow up the rear view of the exit nozzle you can see through the pump vanes to the back side of the prop hub and it looks like a large diameter hub (75mm??) If that's true it looks like a nice setup to drop a TBM cone in.

I like it- anyone have some convincing arguements on how a broke S.O.B. can explain to his wife that he needs a nairn? ( new and improved round nose) especially when he has too many skis already?

so it doesn't have a 760- that would have been sweet, but given the choice - I would prefer the hull mods over the motor mod. for most of you the 760 would still be inadequate- so shut it! :theyareontome:

as far as the front not being as wide as doing tubbies- wouldn't the narrowed rear make up for it? I bet if someone measure with tubbie II's and the 07 rear vs. the nairn it is the same of more on the nairn. and there is no way I would ever spend the money for a setback conversion so again bonus- trim in play- bonus. Its a freeride hull from the factory! could of used a little shorter pole but whatever. oh and footholds but I can see the legal disaster that would be.

I want one!!!!!
