Someone post a ride report
So, my much loved and many, many hours ridden 96 SJ is a bit battered, but mechanically sound.
Would the new one be a worthwhile upgrade ? Or does this wannabe freerider just keep rebuilding the old one.
The real problem for selling these is that they have to be near indestructable to just survive, so they don't wear out like a car or cycle. They are simple to fix and most of us can do it.
I'd buy a real 4 stroke effort-but if they just do a few minor things, or set it up for closed course, I can keep reworking the round nose SJ.
this is the sales problem....sea couch guys buy and trade in like car guys do, but the standup guy is more like a Harley rider or Ducati rider...the cycle is a starting point, almost a kit....not a finished product.
Standups are like that....we all mod and wrench them, and no one part breaking means "toss it away". If it breaks, well that's an opportunity to upgrade it !
Someone get one of these wet please !!!!!!!
