No, you don't need the 64X box. I notched, then filed a notch in the plastic mounting base of the Zeel. In the pic- you see it is being retained on the right by that notch pushing against the housing back , on the left- it pushes against the solenoid rubber. The bottom rests flush against the housing and the top is being retained by the stock wiring bracket. So that it doesn't get squeezed to tightly, I inserted a 6mm fiber washer (not visible) between this bracket and the aluminum base. The Zeel is held firmly , does not jiggle around. I actually prefer this over using the 64X rubber retainer- I like to see the unit have at least some heat exchange (touching the base), rather than insulating it in a rubber surround.
I also prefer the 64X coil- it has resistance wires- Borut had mentioned to use resistor plugs, he probably knows something, after all he's from the same neck of the woods as Nicola Tesla...
