um heres a dumb question

WHERE THE eclair IS WATERDAWG AND BLOWSION..........?

there are more threads about those 2 companies and their products on here than anyone............ yet i havent seen them chime into this thread....... dikbags

I sincerely doubt Blowsion has any interest in advertising here. I don't believe they feel they need to, either. Just guessing, of course. I am not speaking for anyone, but myself.

Waterdawg, I don't know. He's getting plenty of free advertisment lately. Why buy the cow?

This is a click not a community

'Blowsion' has stated several times both publicly and privately that x-h2o doesn't mean much to them, probably because we actually allow Waterdawg stuff to be posted.

I don't know, I don't like all the stupid drama in our sport and some days it really irks me.

I don't feel like x-h2o is a clique, I actually feel like an outsider to most of the groups on here - florida's groups, oceanside, etc etc. I'd say Blowsion is more of a clique than anything, you're either in and a friend or you're not.

Yeah, that statement kinda reminds me of someone who cannot understand why we wont let him come here and bash/flame people who do like WDK products.

I agree about the "Your either in and a friend or you're not"

I dont think Blowsion and co. have EVER made anyone feel unwelcome. I could be wrong cause I have only been back in jet skiing for the last couple years but without them this sport would not be where it is, that I do know. How come every damn topic on THIS site goes into questioning blowsions character lately?

One thing I do know about relationships is that if things are not right people need to ask themselves what they have done to contribute to the issue at hand.

What I do know about Blowsion and Co. is that they do NOTHING to contribute to the BS of this sport.

oh the drama!

I don't think anyone was suggesting that the owners should be expected to foot the bill, although that is usually how these things work. I've done it.
When it became too much, I got a host company to sponsor me.
I do tend to disagree with the guilting of companies into advertising. If owners of a company are on this site
everyday, they ARE putting something back into the site. It helps the X just as much as it helps the companies when
a member can talk directly to a company owner. People will know that the X is the place to go to make contacts.

Darin, you rock. You do a great job keeping this site up, but I really think you ought to grow a thicker
skin when it comes to people making suggestions/observations about the site.
A suggestion or a different point of view isn't a complaint, and doesn't/shouldn't warrant a threat of site abandonment.

As far as being an outsider, you're welcome to come ride with the swamp rats ANYTIME.

This whole thing was started by someone simply suggesting that if you enjoy this site, you should support the companies that support it. And if they don't, why not ask them why? Maybe the company would realize that people do pay attention to the banners on the top of the pages. That way both parties win, forum member get to enjoy the site without having to donate to it all the time and companies get rewarded for helping out the forum members.

The notion of supporting a company who supports your interests is nothing new. Take the suggestion at face value, not everything has hidden agendas. The point is that there are some companies that get a lot of free advertisement from this site and it wouldn't hurt for them to give a little back.

Darrin, Harrison, and Paul,
Thanks for all the time and effort you put into this site. Your contributions far surpase some small fee per month. You're doing a great job.

Wow, I don't know what to say? I take some personal time for a couple of hours & look what happens? All we are asking is to give a little to the sport, not end the world.............

All this about Blowsion?...................... They are probably the one big stand-up based company that unselfishly gives back to the community at large. from freerides, to misc events, to treating the customer right. they are the company all others model after. They don't deserve to be talked about they way they have been. As far as their advertising goes, I choose to say no comment at this time. We do have a very good relationship with them.

Actually the BS in this sport is the competition side, which there is only a small number of members here who race or do freestyle........ Probably less than 20 active users here.......... The BS comes from the IJSBA for the most part, at the Regional level there is very little BS to deal with........ If you want to go and read the BS about the sport you are at the wrong site, go to PWCToday and hit the racing section, there is post after post and thread after thread talking about all the BS handed out by the IJSBA.

The BS on the site comes from the Members who cannot or will not respect the other members....... We have all been guilty of this at one time or another, I know I have......... You just proved that you are just as guilty, I dont think I have told you that you are a f ukin joke......... I could start acting like a kid and start trashing your name, but I try not to stoop to that level. And just how am I making my own bed????

Honestly, If I was such a dikhead I would just ban you, but that is not how I play here.......... If you dont like it here, then just leave, all you seam to do now is bitch about every single thing. If you want to be part of this site, then that is up to you, you make this site what you want it to be.

I got a camp fire to get back to..........

Oh, like Paul said, Blowsion does do alot for the community......... For some reason they have chosen not to be part of this one offically, Honestly, It does not make much sense but I am not going to loose any sleep over it.

Harrison, Paul, and Darin

I appreciate all that you have done for the site and the sport. You have done far more than I have and many other people for that matter. :arms: :woot: :arms: :woot:

Let me ask you this though. You all say that you have nothing to gain from investing into this site, but I really don't understand that. To be honest I don't know that much about the ownership of forums so maybe you can educate myself and others about this.

Take for an example Rob and PWCToday. I joined PWCToday about 2 months before it was sold to SBT so I don't know that much about the history of the site, but I do know that Rob supposedely received a great deal of $$$$ from the sale of the site.

Hypothetically speaking if you said I could receive part ownership by paying the $35 a month and putting up with the bull$hit then I think I would definitely take that opportunity. Owning a site that is definitely on the rise like this one seems like a great investment opportunity to me. (This is not a suggestion to allow joint ownership of the site. It is just an example:biggrin: )

I guess what I am trying to say is that this seems like a great investment opportunity for you guys so why do you really care about that $35 a month.

Once again I can't thank you all enough for what you have done for the sport. If I am wrong and there is absolutely no investment opportunity in a site like this then please explain that to me. From what I have seen it seems like you all have a lot to gain from the success of this site.

Thanks again:biggthumpup:
