Food plan - Covered as of 3-11-08, thanks all!

Dear Kaveman,

Please keep your ass out of the kitchen and we'll all be better off for it.

Sincerely,

Dollar Bill

I coach soccer and I thought this would be a bye for spring break, but I heard they're scheduling games that weekend. I'll volunteer for something once I find out for sure if I'm coming, should be next week sometime...

can't go showing up to the next practice with a sunburn

Yeah the problem is I'm really out for a work trip the first weekend of April, then maybe the first weekend of May depending on how things shake out.

I am pretty sure I brought 3 heads of lettuce and 12 or so tomatoes and onions.

Sharon, you can put me down for whaterver isn't taken on the list. If you can think of anything else, just let me know.

Would you like to bring syrup and butter? I expect a lb of butter should be plenty and we might have left over. Syrup at least 2 bottles (or one mega bottle but 2 smaller would be handier).

Thank you, I knew I could count on you! And thanks for the input from last fall, that will help.

Yo, Peculiar Goose,

How much bacon and sausage will we be needing (in lbs. please.) Also when would my ASSistance in the kitchen be most beneficial.

Hmmm, not sure if I should answer to this or not . . . . . well, OK, but only cuz I love you Kavey (in a purely platonic kind of way of course )

As far as amounts, I guess 1-2 pieces of sausage or bacon per person, since some will eat it, some won't. That brings us to around 4-5 servings per pound of either and I would guess that more peeps will pick bacon over sausage. If 95% eat meat w/their cakes (this is TX) and around 60% choose bacon over sausage . . . how soon will the plate be empty and how much tax does Kunta need to charge each person?

Oh, wait, this isn't math class. Wow, that still figures out around 8-10 pounds of bacon and 5-7 pounds or so of sausage (total of 15-16 pounds). You sure you want to spring for all that? Maybe we better spread some of the love on this one?

As for the assistance, if you want to help cook meat, we'll be starting that about the same time Neil starts cakes on Sat am. I'm sure he'll spread the word. If you want to help with Sat pm meal, just show up early and somebody will give you a job.
