Never thought about that.
I consider filling the stocker a serious pain in the rear.

When I first did mine 2 years ago I used some bondo, which subsequently detached a bit - visible through the paint.
Now I am redoing it, and it's just as much of a pain as last time.

The motor has been slightly Chuckified now. I got rid of the 48 NOVIs and put on a set of Xscream 46's. I also had some reshaping done to the intake and I switched to an Xscream intake spacer instead of my angled RIVA spacer. I just got done reassembling everything and fired it up tonight. Absolutely NO signs of run-on while running on the hose this time - a VERY good sign to me.

I also completely rewired my total loss, and put an SXR coil on (and moved it to the battery). I started having wierd electrical problems late last year, so we'll see if that takes care of it. Big thanks to Abe at NorthGraphics for my MSD on/off decal!!

I'm hoping to plop it in the water (for the first time this year) tomorrow.

Got a chance to ride for about 10 minutes yesterday. The Xscream 46's are great. Absolutely NO hiccups, and I didn't have to touch a tuning screw. I re-jetted my old NOVIs about 9 times, and they never ran as well as these 46's. They are so crisp.THANK YOU Chuckie!
I spun off about 7 rolls and only my shoes got wet. This was also my first time out with the 6lb Maros 24-7 hood. I'm stoked about how this thing rolls. Now, it's time to start working on the backflips.

Boris, I hit 120 full done and re-enforced with 4lb foam. You should have no problem getting it below that. Geek is right USE A LOT OF CLAMPS.. I used the X-metal side exhaust. if you do that you have to make a small cover for it to cover the frt portion of the exhaust otherwise you will get back pressure buildup.

OK Boris, here's the lessons I learned:

- If you shorten the bottom deck, glass it at an angle, not straight up like the stock hull. It's MUCH easier to do that way.
-If you relocate your steering cable, you can't give yourself enough room. I used a paper towel tub for my mold, but I should have used a pop can or 20 oz bottle.
- If you do rear side exhaust buy an ALUMINUM tube from Patrick at Xmetal. It will be WAY eaiser.
- Use 2lb foam.
- Foam in the bottom of the hull before you even glue the top deck on.
- Route BOTH of your water lines to the left (port) side of the firewall.
- Use twice as many clamps as you think, and use furring strips under the clamps (to distribute the clamping force).
- give yourself at least 3 months to complete the project.

Those are the first things that come to mind.
Whatever you do, you'll end up loving the end result I'm sure.

I got to ride a tank through it last night. I can’t believe how clean this thing runs. I fought those NOVI’s for 2 years, and now that I have the Xscream 46’s on there ALL my problems are fixed. My lean run-on condition at idle (or when the boat is upside down after a backflip attempt) is GONE. My starting problem (having to get the exhaust outlet out of the water) is GONE. The jerky surging when doing a set-up wave is GONE. This is without touching an adjustment screw on the carbs. AND, this is a longblock that Chuckie did NOT build.

Every single roll I spun last night was all the way around. It didn’t matter if I hit my set-up wave at the right time or not. Danceswithsuperjet will attest to that. I even did a monkey jump that was WAY up there. I haven’t been able to do one for 2 years because the boat wouldn’t stay running. Backflip attempts were horrendous, but the boat didn’t sit there and scream when it was upside down, so I had confidence to keep trying them.

I am so happy with Xscream. I want to hug Chuckie!

I’ve also been able to ride two other Xscream motors – Danceswithsuperjet’s 701 and SJ13’s 771. Both of those motors run incredibly well for what they are. They’re definitely on the heels of my 8mm Lamey stroker.

After riding last night, all I have to say is THANK YOU Xscream!!!

Well, you haven't started on the mod where you're going to mount the handlepole directly onto the bow eye to get even further forward, so we'll see how that goes.

Now isn't this just ironic now that the Rickter FS-1 pretty much does have the pole mounted onto the bow eye.

I'm a prophet!
