Well after two years, I found that EVERYONE was right - don't use PVC for your exhaust tube. There was 23 lbs worth of wet foam in the back. I'm ordering my Xmetal side rear exhaust tube next week. Let's see if that extra 23 lbs was keeping me from nosing in my flat water backies...

What did the PVC have to do with waterleaks?

Everyone (Chick included) said that using PVC as an exhaust tube was foolish. The bonds wouldn't hold. Well, they didn't. I believe hot, oily water penetrates closed cell foam even more than cold water alone.

I'll be using polystyrene this time, so that will no longer be an issue.

That's what I did!

Do yourself a favor and install drainplugs while you're at it.
I am sure glad I did.

Yeah, sure, and I said I'd have my ski done for Daytona too. We are pathetic.

Pathetic indeed! - BUT, my kids are fed, and my wife is happy, so that's worth a WHOLE lot more than being on the water...besides, I didn't specify what YEAR I was going to be done.

Both gunwales are foamed now, and so is the front of the tray. I just need to put some foam under the tray around the pump cavity, then glass the bottom of the tray in.

My motor has been blown since late April, just got Rings over the weekend to put it back together. Could have stayed up most of Sat night putting it all back but had some other projects going. Took Isabella to the pool on sunday. Much more fun!!!!!!!!!!!

Us old schoolers can't seem to get the energy to finish our rides! July and we're not in the water yet! Oh well, once we ARE done, those young whippersnappers better look out.

Thanks for making me like less of a loser for spending my time taking care of my family, job, house, etc.

Its only taken me a year to strip my old hull and flip it over. :ugh:

If I get to ride, great, if not. Oh Well, aint nobody dead.

Ha, I understand completely.
This is the first year that I am not constantly tinkering on my ski. I bought a nice Jetworks engine, my hull handling is awesome, and I ride less than ever.
Maybe one hour a week, if that much. There are so many more important things.
My boys always come first now. I feel terrible that it wasn't that way before.
