Hand guns

Im not sure if there were any exchanges for Costa while he was in the Coast Guard and doubtful you or I would have access to all the information concerning that. Whether you like the way he trains or not, he would still be a viable option for a lot of people. I don't regard him as a tool, and neither do most of his alumni. Haley and Lamb are also well respected in the circle and I find well qualified to teach/instruct me. Since they are not to your level, I assume by the name calling, whats the schedule for the IDOK series? Lots of good trainers out there, research them and participate guys, you'll be better and safer for the experience.

I have a friend that knows Costa personally..

Well heck that changes everything. If you would've just said that you had a friend that knew him to begin with that would've definitely disqualified him as a viable training/instructor option. LMFAO, once again when are your classes scheduled? I'm sure you could do a lot worse than a Costa Ludus instructional class.

for those of you who buy online, what site do you find to be the best? People seem to either love or hate gunbroker but thats the only one i've ever really browsed. I've never bought a gun online before but since my friend just got his FFL im going to start. Oh, also, is it common for online sellers to not accept paypal or should i avoid those transactions?

Paypal is not gun friendly and will reverse a transaction if they suspect it is firearm related. That being said, I have sent personal payments to my guy but only after I met him face to face and established a relationship.

I joined gunbroker and also frequent slickguns and armslist but had much better luck joining a few of the local gun groups on facebook. Eventually I found a home based FFL about an hour from the house whom I purchased my last 4 guns from. He has a huge selection and his list prices are usually cheaper than gunbroker or any other online site. He's also an ex cop and has friends in different armories so he gets some great deals on ex service hardware.

Anybody have a favorite CC holster for the xdm 9 compact? I'm 5'8" 165lbs. I normally wear loose clothes. There's another question I guess... When carrying, what clothes work in cold and hot weather? Thoughts?

Thanks fellas

Edit. A few heavier guys I know cary in their pants pocket, or hoodie pocket etc... But I don't have body size to do that. They told me to drink more beer.

I never did either ( other than when out hunting ), but on my recent vacation back in Canada, there were a couple times when I would have been much more comfortable had I been carrying.

accessory rail, Omega trigger, one of the "newer" designs and has done extremely well in nato testing, personal preference. PCR is excellent but lacking a rail means lacking an option to me. I also don't care for the slanted sights on PCR or any weapon. P-07 polymer frame is lighter and might want to look at it. Might want to just go full size only like an inch bigger is SP-01, which has been dominate in "Box Stock" competition. Go to the CZ website and compare them, go rent one and try it, cant always go by what people say. Just because so many people love CZ's you might not like any of them. edit: admitted CZ fan boy here lol

I'm not a big fan of glocks. Mt dad has a g22 that I have shot a lot and I just don't like the ergonomics. I chose the pcr cause the front mount isnt a make or break for me. I'm looking at options that would fulfill a range gun and something that is relatively small so it can double as a carry. And I like the idea of the metal frame vs polymer
