He told me once to not even think about touching the trigger until I was ready to shoot. He had to tell me that only once.
And it still surprised me every time it fired. I have never ever felt a lighter trigger, and I owned a Savage with a very early Accu-Trigger that I dialed all the way down.

I had a Parker Hale 30-06 that was like that. Nice to shoot a light trigger but very dangerous walking around with. I learned to never leave one in the chamber.

Finally x mas came early

Everywhere I have ever lived would have allowed me a place to shoot except here. Bummer but I can deal with it.

The steel targets would be interesting and easy enough to build as well. I like the ones that swing down and auto reset. I would love to set up a spot where you could move thru and shoot up like the SWAT guys do.

20 hours? I got my purchase pernit from the sherrifs office and went to the gun store around the corner 25 mins later i walked out glock in hand.

Today? All of my friends bought guns right after the shooting. They all submitted them the quickest one was done in 16 hours. I dont know if its different if you go directly to the sherrifs office but i just had it done through the local gun store.

Depends on the state and which offices are required to approve the purchase. My wife and I bought on a saturday; My wife's was done in 10 minutes while I had to wait till the immigration office opened on Monday, (I am Canadian). The immigration office opened at 8am monday and I had approval by 9am. Had I purchased early enough on a weekday, I could have had mine in as little as 15-20 minutes as well.

I'm still bothered by the fact that I can't carry a handgun, or any weapon for that matter, during the week on my 150 mile daily commute simply because my work does not allow weapons on site, even in our personal vehicles. I have spent hours looking for a loophole and found none. I can carry, it's just my job if they ever find out. Considering the amount of time I spend on the road and all the miles I travel, I figure I'm more likely to have an incident on the road than I am at home so I would like to carry.

Make a really nifty hiding spot in your vehicle. I'm sure they wouldn't tear your :):):):) apart. Especially if no one knew.

Not knocking anyone, but if I ever felt the need to carry a gun Dailey no rule or law will really stop that. If it's truly needed you will do what you have to do. I also refuse to get a ccw. Open carry Is legal in my state most places so if I feel The need I will proudly wear it on my hip not hide it like some pansy.

Some of our states don't allow open carry. So we do what we can. And plus when it is concealed, no one knows and people make less of a deal.

After college that is the plan.

Edit: I'm mistaken. We can open carry in Indiana as long as we have a CCW permit. I have never seen anyone do it, and just figured that we didn't have it. My bad.

No worries man. I was just trying to make the point that if you
Truly felt it it was needed you would regardless.

The mindset with conceal is the bad guy doesn't know who is carrying. If he did, he may focus on you first then proceed with his evil mayhem. I conceal carry all the time unless I am at a restaurant and planned to drink. I like the fact that I am legal, trained, practiced, able and especially concealed.
