Let me see if I can ruffle a feather or 2.........

My answer to magazine bans=revolver.
My answer to cheap ammo jamming a semi auto=revolver.
My answer to kill wildlife for food on the table=revolver.

LOL

Don't get your panties in a wad. If I could afford my revolvers and some semi-auto toys, I would own both. LOL

My Chiappa Rhino .357 magnum revolver cost more than most of my semis. Love it though. I also have 4 speedloaders to go with it.

My Ruger revolvers do cost considerably more than Glocks, but my only concern for my Ruger revolvers is shooting whitetail deer. lol (well maybe the GP100 357 mag is not
much of a deer hunting gun but alot of fun to shoot).

Just a friendly reminder.

I believe we all are aware of the craziness with the Legistlation pending massive threats to your Freedom and Rights and our 2nd Amendment, which would put all people in a very low and vulnerable state. Biden has used the words "Executive Action" to push his agenda. The word "Confiscation" and "Forced Turn In" has even been heard. WOW!

If you haven't contacted Obama/Biden and your congressman and senator, you can do so with the below website. It locates your individuals per your zip code. Very easy and fast.

If you have contacted them, do so again. Squeaky wheel gets oiled. Gotta be vocal, too important!

Pass this along. Thx.

Anyone check out the Rock Island Armory .22 TCM yet? They stuffed a .223 bullet into a 9mm case that will fire a 40 grain bullet at 2100fps from a 1911 frame.

18+1 rounds of high velocity goodness in a 1911 frame sounds pretty sweet to me. It even comes with a spare 9mm barrel in case you wanna shoot the cheap stuff.

Singular support would be an issue. If a cartridge like this interests you might want to look at the FN 5.7. Can be had in a pistol or carbine, also there is a conversion for the AR platform. Very effective as shown by the muslim in FT. Hood.

I was looking at the 5.7 today as they are both commonly mentioned together in articles since they came from similar backgrounds for similar needs. One of my buds at work is all hyped up on the .22TCM right now. He's all about the fps but me personally, I agree with the above statement about singular support. There's only one place producing the rounds so far and the cost is around the same as a box of .45 so I'm still leaning towards the 9mm based on price point and availability; also much easier to reload if a guy is thinking in that direction.

+1. 5.7x28mm can be loaded to fire at about 2500 fps out of a handgun

whats the point? unless you are trying to penetrate armor

the TCM is a neat cartridge, I like it for the simple fact it uses common components.....

std 9mm brass and std. .223 bullets with a set of dies and your in business..

the 5.7 stuff is harder to get bullets and brass for...the gun is rediculously expensive and it really has no crossover except for the P90 which is fugly

instead of looking for ultra high FPS...its much more fun to make the bullet travel sloooooow

I like to see the round traveling downrange, so slow it looks like you could grab it with a catchers mitt

My dad always told me if you want to learn about guns, then study ammunition. Big bores are where its at..and there's nothing cooler than a rifle and pistol that shoot the same round

I wanted to build a .45acp AR for a long time. But the ballistics on a .223 made it hard to justify. More accurate, much longer range, and more energy at 100 yards.

The Just Right Carbine (not sure if I mentioned it in this thread) is a AR styled rifle thats available in 9, 40, and 45. Its reasonably priced and uses glock mags.

That TCM is cool. As mentioned, If I can't buy it in bulk, and cheap... i'm out.

I wasn't sure if I was going to get them but it looks like Ruger filled my order today for a couple extra 17 round mags. They still show "out of order" but "back orderable" on the website. I had wondered if they were going to sit back and wait for the results of the gun proposal before filling orders but I guess not.
