And it's not completely 90 degrees "Flat" but it was close enough to say ******** IT. :smoker:

When I put the tape on, I forgot I was going to need to bubble it out at the bottom, so when I bubbled it out, it lifted the flap of fiberglass slightly. Tis all good though. Running a unmodified roundnose pole and roundnose bracket with a limiting strap should be no problem at all. :)

Last couple pics until the bracket area is done... I promise :D

I almost messed around on the pc too long and didn't trim it up in time! I had to cut it and the grab it with pliers to pull it off. I almost had alot of grinding to do.

Hurry up and get that pole mounted I wanna see how much more narrow the RN pole is than the SN pole recess on the hood. Im tired of smashing my fingers.

Thinkin of just cutting and reshaping my AC pole though... Little welding never hurt nobody. maybe a little shorter... little more narrow... maybe some circle holes in it to make it a bit lighter and cooler lookin.... hrmm...

I need a roundnose bracket before I can mount it all up :(

I couldn't work on this stuff lastnight, but I am planning on grinding everything back on the underside, and laying the glass for it tonight.

perhaps you know but before you go to town grinding, cover your arms/hands in skin lotion. It will protect you from the evil Fiber Devils.

I just wear a long sleeve shirt and deal with the little bit that gets under it. I don't want to risk getting lotion or excess oils on anything I will be glassing.

Well, the bracket area is curing on the underside...... I ended up using 2 layers of 12oz, and 2 layers of 17oz. I did a left to right 12, and then a front to back 12, then a left to right 17 and a front to back 17. I used the 12 first to make sure the sharp corners wouldn't come up, so it would sort of build a softer edge for the 17.

Monday afternoon will be foaming all around the bracket area and glassing that in. :) Thanks again Rick!

dont mix to much at a time, we used 2 plastic cups and poured to one. DONT touch it after it starts to expand it will screw it up. and use gravity to your advantage if not your fighting a loosing battle. good luck that some fun chit to play with.
you will get the hang pretty fast, its not bad

Cool.

Hey foxy lady... what grit are you using to sand it down? Does a file work well?

how long after I pour should I wait to start shaping it? I've never used any of this stuff before aside from my little test
