I think I can handle glassing it in, I'm more concerned with using biax or regular 8oz s-glass on the top rails or.....

It's going to get done tomorrow night one way or the other. I'd be working on it now, but it's over 80 outside, and all I have is the fast west systems hardener. Tonight and tomorrow night it is supposed to be around 59-60

I spent sometime the other night cleaning it all up...sanding, grinding, getting the ankle cutouts symmetrical....

Here are some good clear pics for glassing advice and suggestions

Man, I wish it would upload the big a hair bigger :(

last one...

Still have alot more sanding to do...

Also, I decided to chip that cabosil out and use 1/2" chop... so that's why it's cracked, I just need to finishing getting it all out. I decided on chop so I could stuff alot under the back edges for extra support.

Lookin' good; this ski is going to turn out real nice when you're done.

On the top of the rails you'll be fine with the S-glass to cover the holes but I would use the biaxle for strength over all the seams.

Well, I ended up tearing out that cabosil/ mb I used to fill in around the rear of the ski, and replaced it with 1/2" chop. That has to cure so I can glass tomorrow night. I had to put that in in a few layers because of heat, and even then, it got hard at the top so I couldn't just glass over it because it wasn't smooth. I'm going to have to grind it all down smooth tomorrow and then give it another go when it cools off tomorrow night. Piss.

Once I tore it out, I took an allen wrench and chucked it up in the drill, stuck it in there, and dug alot of the foam out. So I have serious doubts about it ever cracking around the back hehe.

Hey Matt! today I weighed the ol' squarenose.... bare hull, no pump, hood, ect... ~124 lbs

she's a porker.. I figure a couple more pounds of glass work on the tray, and then the weight of the paint... around 130

My RN weighed in at 118 fully reinforced, and the SN came in at 140 fully reinforced.

The square is definitely heavier than the Roundie, but does not ride like it is heavier.

I'm waiting for a cool night so I can finish up my tray, and then it's off to prep for paint....

I'm also about to make a big order from Jetworks on Tuesday.. should be all the parts I will need, aside from some hood hooks

I don't know for sure. I am either going with OEM, because I will be running a ratchet strap and no rear latch, or either X metal if Jetworks can order them, or anything else I can get through Jetworks. I really don't feel like making seperate orders.

The thing is, I can use the OEM, because I am going to have to move the hooks on my hood wider because of the RN bracket, and I haven't drilled any holes in the mounting area yet... so I can make the oem tighter than stock, and strength shouldn't really matter since it will be sinched down with a ratchet strap... it's sort of all still in the air at the moment. Do you have any suggestions?

Edit: That came out wrong in the post you were originally referencing... It's all going to be ordered through Jetworks if possible, no matter what I get. After I make that order, I am hiding my CC from myself until the next billing cycle. Yes, I really do lack that much self control.
