I'm running couch plugs as well. I got mine from JetManiac for pretty cheap. $9 for the pair including stainless screws for the install.

JetManiac to the rescue again, two OEM drains on the way should be here by the weekend. If I can keep making headway throughout the week then I might be able to start glassing the tray Friday night.

Im really hoping that I will be on the water in june right when the temps are in the prime but I cant get distracted with anything else. If only a can get the tray glassed this weekend then its bodywork, a few mounts in the engine bay, paint and assembly!

Love the build. Thanks for the inspiration. I have basically used your thread as a step by step on re-doing my SN. Your carbon work is legit, did you lay all that up by hand or were you vacuum bagging

Thanks guys Im glad this thread is helping others. This has been a big learning curve. At the start of this I had never worked with epoxy or carbon, just some non structural poly stuff making car audio parts. Everything so far has just been hand layups.

Trying to keep up with daily or at least weekly updates so I can keep up some progress. Not much for tonight but I set the motor in with the CF mounts to check how close I am with alignment. Things are looking really good so far just might need a little tweaking to get it perfect but Ill worry about that later. I also ground down the pole bracket area to the glass and added some 410 since the gelcoat in that area was cracked. Did the same on the back area of the hood seal and up in the front corner. Trying to get a bit of a jump on the bodywork while Im waiting on the drain plugs to finish working on the tray.

Cleaned up the rails and the gunwales. Going to pour some 2 part foam and shape it to fill some of the voids in the tray and then I should be ready to lay some more glass.

Prepped the holds and finished tacking everything in place with some CA glue then did the first pour of foam.

Thanks dude!

Roughed in the first coat of pour foam, I hope its decently warm tomorrow so this stuff will cure faster.

The epoxy is still tacky so I started mocking things up to layout the mounts in the engine bay. Its pretty tight with the rocker so I'm going to have to tweak the waterbox.

Thanks man yea I figured the glass wouldnt lay out very well and would get a lot of air trapped under it. Once this stuff fully cures Ill scuff it up, knock down any high spots and start the layup.
