Other Most frustrating moments with your ski.. Let's hear yours!

knowing I have 4 months till I can ride again is pretty frustrating! stupid winter. why cant global warming hurry up and turn my state into a tropical climate?!?! Al gore has been promising increased temperatures thanks to pollution for years! Broken promises.... so many of them from his party lately :angryfire:

Mine sits in the garage taunting me to go riding.

Every time I boot up my computer, she's there on my background.
Every time I take the garbage out to the garage...she's there!
When I stay home from riding to do chores or fix the house or tend to the grounds...she's always getting in the way!
When I come home from work at all hours of the night, she's the first to greet me as I come thru the garage door and remind me that I am neglecting my loved ones.

And if that's not bad enough, whenever I do manage to make some special time to spend together, she fires right up, yanks my arms, whips my ass and burns up all my gas. I tell ya, I just can win with her.

That's pretty frustrating right?

Sounds familiar...

Had my feet slip out attempting a barrel roll. Landed on my hood with my hip and cracked the hood. Later that day I sunk my ski and spent the next hour+ trying to get my ski dried out and running again while it was raining out the whole time. Did manage to get her running before the zone closed so I could ride it and make sure no water was left in the cases to rust my crank bearings.

I have a new one that happened to me the other day.
My superjet tray has been modded and it has drain plugs in it. This last weekend I went riding in Oceanside (5 hour drive) and I didn't realize I was missing my drain plugs until I was untying my ski in the harbor. On top of that I forgot my toolbox which had extra drain plugs in it. Talk about a total bummer. I paid for parking and I was in the harbor ready to ride and I forgot my licoriceing drain plugs. I was like licorice my life. Luckily a local rider tracked down some drain plugs that I could borrow so I could ride the next day.

chasing an electrical fault with the plugs unscrewed but connected...(was a Kawi 550)..and when it finally did spark, excess fuel vapours from the open plug holes ignited and the grunge in the bottom of the engine bay started burning...fuel tank was full !!!!....then the battery exploded (i think hydrogen gas coming out of the hot battery caused that)....the crap thing was that I was in my girlfriends garage,....and had to make a quick decision...run like hell and risk losing the whole house and the ski, or drag the burining ski into the swimming pool....of course by this time I had no eyebrows or hair in front...and I was wondering what the hell the battery acid was doing to my face and body and was also expecting the whole gas tank to erupt any second....so into the pool we both went...ski got dunked and so did I......crisis over...girlfriend not amused at all, and ski now even worse off than before. and I looked like ...well a complete douche....good news is that i learned a lot that day

Had plenty of frustrating moments, one of the better ones from last year was the crank letting go in my sc and ruining the big bore top end, then the whole thing sunk while getting towed to the ramp

Took the X2 out a few weeks ago after work and couldn't get it started when I got to the boat ramp. Spent about 30 minutes checking EVERYTHING because I wasn't getting fire. I finally realized I forgot to put the lanyard in. By then it got too dark to ride. Felt lie an idiot.

I have sunk a ski in the middle of the lake, driven over 8 hours to ride in surf to sit on the beach trouble shooting the jetski for hours to have someone walk up and tell you its something simple and then fix it in seconds. a friend also drove with us to the beach on a 3 day stay and only got to ride for 30 minutes because of elecrical Issuse.
