It was very good. A few of the previews looked interesting. Pacific Rim seems dumb but I'd probably go see it with my boys. Elysium looked expensively made with a very confused storyline. The next Hobbit installment looks fantastic as does the next Hunger Games movie.

We just watched Atlas Shrugged parts 1 and 2. Very interesting movie if you can get into it. The movie is based on a 1957 novel written by Ayn Rand.

Despicable Me 2 in 3D was a blast. Still think the first one was better but the second had some really good laughs. 3D sure has come a long way.

Pacific Rim..... well.... special effects were pretty awesome, story was a little corny. Good summer movie.

About the same as Battleship then which we didn't mind at all.

I'm in Atlanta this week for training so we went to World War Z and were thoroughly impressed. We had the entire theatre to ourselves too so it was an odd feeling to leave and not see a single soul for over 3 hours. Right after the movie, we crossed the street to see if Dick's Sporting goods had any ammo, (completely unrelated), and we heard the most blood curdling scream just as we entered which freaked us both out. It would have been the perfect moment to suggest getting a shotgun and a case of ammo because I am sure the wife would have been all over it, lol.

Actually watched a couple more good ones recently.

Olympus has fallen was really good.
Oblivion had a great storyline even if they did cast Tom Cruise as the lead.
Now you see me, not sure how I feel about this one yet. Good concept but I might have to watch it again to really decide.

Oblivion started out well and had a lot of promise. I don't know how, but it lost steam and got freaking boring.

Olympus Has Fallen featured wooden acting, unbelievable characters, and a confused story. Not great.

Elysium was pretty good. I liked it.

A bit older -lol- but I watched War Games for the first time the other day. Good Cold War story, acting was a bit weird.

I might have to buy World War Z.

Speaking of buying movies, I am PISSED that now it's announced "The Hobbit" will come out in extended edition. Why couldn't they have announced that to begin with? I would have waited a few months and not gotten the Super BluRay edition when it first came out. GRRRRR.

I love watching older stuff with the kids. I recently bought Caddyshack to watch on our 2-week RV trip. Kids LOVED it, Char not so much. Now the kids are dropping Caddyshack quotes left and right. Char is not happy. LOL

Oh man, I loved Ladykillers! Great movie.

Haven't really seen any spectacular movies lately. I am waiting to pick up the new Star Trek and World War Z used on Amazon, but it'll be a while.
It's not movies, but me & the wife have been enjoying the hell out of the final season of Breaking Bad. Sooooo good.
It's amazing how this last season contrasts with the first season, which I've been re-watching. It's gotten so dark, twisted and evil. Walt has become Gus.
I am going to have to pick up all seasons on BluRay. I thought Lost was my favorite ever TV Show, but Breaking Bad has it beat by a long shot. Freaking genius.
Also watching the final season of Dexter, but it has turned weird these past couple seasons. It went on too long.
Walking Dead is about to restart, too.

I need to get all the breaking bad and start at the beginning. I have never seen one. Lost was the ONLY show that my wife and I ever really got in to......you would have to go back to knight rider and that one helicopter show (not blue thunder the other one) when I was a kid to find anything on TV I like. You would have to go back to 90210 for Kelly..which she still watches every friggin chance she gets!

The Ladykillers was epic! Never saw it coming based on the title and description before I started watching it!

Definitely watch Breaking Bad from the very beginning. Character development from show to show, season to season, is fantastic. It starts of very light and innocent and get to be VERY dark towards the end.

that one helicopter show

LOL Airwolf?

LOL, I put Airwolf in our Netflix and then never got past the first episode. We made it thru the first season of the six million dollar man though.

Just finished watching World War Z on Blu-ray. We bought it and the new Star Trek. Not many worth buying these days but these two definitely were. Walmart had the last two Star Trek movies bundled in Blu ray for $19.95

Yah I just broke down and bought the WWZ BluRay/DVD/Digital Copy combo at Costco for $17.99.

I've watched Breaking Bad thru the end of the 4th season and I have to say, it is one of, if not the best written show I have ever watched. As Matt said, the character development is the best I have ever seen. Great show.
