I think that whole statement is backwards. You think respectfully contacting a business in private to work out some issues or lack of communication will raise his blood pressure more than publically calling him a hack, a liar, and a theif?

He didn't call him a hack, he showed us his work and we figured that one out for our selves.

looks to me like somebody wanted to get MORE than they paid for. paid $2800 for a hull that needed some work and tweeking. wanted a $5000 hull that was ready to go. expected and hoped to have less issues. just like the guys that bought the first few foot rockets in the USA. they thought they were getting the introductory price, but actually they ended up getting incomplete/unfinished hulls for their LESS money paid. i like getting more than i paid for also, but it rarely happens.. i'm old and senile, so disreguard anything i said if you dont like it.

Bingo^^^

The skis clinic has a DIY kit. Is cheap. It looks cheap and is advertised as such. You are told there will be finishing and roughness. No other vendors I know of advertise as such. Maybe they should?

This guy came n here asking info about other skis and saying he knew what was up. He obviously can make a hull. Maybe he has learned how to align things, and use proper hardware since then. Maybe he has learned why some people with skis want FULL foam. Hopefully he has learned about communication. I don't know this guy at all execs for how he treats a customer with a problem when they post on a forum.

Maybe vendors don't realize it, but there is only a few ski forums. No I don't think your business can be ended by them, but I know for a fact it can be improved by them. If you lose 1 sale from a negative thread, that's gotta be at least 1-2k cash your missing out on. Probably more. If you don't think this thread has stopped at least one sale, your high. Google is powerful. Get with the times people.

I still don't agree with blaming his price of the hull on issues. That's what people are doing. Otherwise itmwouldnt matter ifthe man had given him this hull for FREE. It still left his shop with a ton of issues and the man blames his customer. That kind of work tells alot about a persons character. If you support people like that, then do it all the time. Don't be a hypocrite in real life and on the Internet too.

Other than a pump shoe, I see nothing but quality. The fit and finish is top notch. That ski is a tank and will hold up to anything you ride in. My pump shoe lined up perfectly so I'm sure it could of been worked out. Tony is too easy to deal with and far from a hack. He has more composite experience than probably any other builder.

Poizen, if your not happy ill buy it from you for $2800 in an instant. But you pay for crating and delivery since you seem to think that should be included.

a few unsatisfied customers, that dont get exactly what they EXPECT, when their stuff arrives, and then talk :):):):) on the forums, definatly does damage to that business. the guy that whines, will always have a bunch of followers that feel bad for the baby and agree with him, right or wrong. dont buy a product at a discounted price if you expect it to be the quality of a much higher priced item. if you pay full bore retail and get junk, by all means be mad as a hornet. if you pay a junk price and get junk, you got exactly what you paid for. didnt sano say he had like $1700 into that stunt hull?

Nice way to avoid the original statement and question. It's funny cuz you are good at diffusing the drama on the Backie Chan threads since you own one. We usually have pretty similar views on those threads when I try to tell people you need to understand a few flaws with a new company and deal with some growing pains when you get an introductory priced hull which is half the price they end up selling for. I guess I was right about people having a different view when they want to protect their investment by sticking up for the builder rather than trashing on them. You guys were bashing TXsuperjetfreak for having a negative opinion when not owning a Cham hull or any AM hull for that matter but on this thread you agree with him when it's a pretty similar situation.
This thread is just funny and so are the people in it

It's all good man, I like the hull and everyone that has ridden it says it's great. However I dislike how Tony comes across on the Internet, may be different in person but I wouldn't know. Instead of getting defensive and pointing fingers Tony could have said to pm him to figure out a solution, would have come across much better.

.Thanks for posting your feedback. We understand your concerns about the issues you have found.

This hull was among the first hulls we produced. With any new product, we knew there would would be small issues on the first few that would need some adjustments/work, and as such, we offered big discounts on the first hulls out the door to make up for the imperfections . We have since gone back and made adjustments, changed a few lines, and revised the molds to address these issues. We are also now working on hulls full time.

Crate charges are what they are. Wood costs money, hardware costs money, paying an employee to build one costs money. Driving over 2 hours round trip costs money. Philly is not a quick and easy trip.

This hull was foamed, not sure where the assumption that it is not is coming from?

It looks like the pump shoe was adjusted after it left the shop? We use pan head screws and add two small washers to the top two tabs to fit correctly. While not a perfect fit, it does line up better than what is pictured and all hardware is tightened down.

The hull did take longer than planned as Tony was building them part time after working a full time job. 3-4 weeks was never agreed to. Hull was dropped off at the terminal during the first week of October. We can not control the month long transit time from the transportation/delivery companies.

Apologies for the errors you encountered, we are a new company and are taking all the necessary steps to correct the issues our customers have encountered. We have taken all the feedback we have received and implemented changes to improve our production and product. We are now doing this full time with employees and have revised the molds and assembly/packing process. We will be launching the Aquabot V2 in a couple of weeks.

We did go out of our way to accommodate all the requests and changes you made numerous times. We hope overall you are satisfied with the deal you received (well below what we are charging now) and will work to correct the missing items from your order.

Please contact us directly at tigercraftUSA@gmail.com so we can resolve the issues.

I apologize in advance. I injured my knee and this winter is hitting me hard. I hope that mthomps gets that video game done soon :)

Its just like people buying a smart car don't bitch about the car not having power, you are getting a great value for the money.

but when you buy a car you expect the wheel alignment to be done right?

Today yes, in the 80s nope. This aftermarket hull industry in in the early years so compare that to the early years on the auto industry.

and once again you are talking about production line cars.

Are you fo real? Not sure I can find a single part of these statements that is true.

I haven't... But I was equally irritated when he started chiming in on this thread. I was confused because at first it looked like he was on Tonys side but then it looked like he was on Micals side and I was like eff it... He's a idiot.

i've done wheel alignments since the late 70s in high school and can guarantee they were no where near as accurate as the same job done with superior lazer align equip. back then it was a magnetic level, that attached to where the dust cap that covered the wheel bearings, pounded on. twinturbo is correct.

No where near as accurate but I can get closer than 5mm with an SAE measuring tape. They've had computer printouts since the 90's, but I will admit that I wasn't around for alignments in the 80's. Improvements can always be made but the alignments were just fine. You don't need a laser to use a scuff pad either. I'm done either way as everybody is correct and this isn't the place. I was half poking fun at the smart car and saying early years immediately after saying the 80's. I could go with 70's but 80's we already peaked in automotive and were coming back down.

Poizen, build it, love it, and just be happy that you don't have to deal with him any longer. Their is no excuse for treating any customer that way, right or not (right in my opinion). Don't know about South Africa, but America in general is long past caring about customers. Most people are used to it, as you can tell, the rest of us are getting there.
