Matt I have the same problem with my backflips.... I learned BF's in the surf and always went big so not a lot of arch or head throwing required.... Once you get those 2 steps on FW you rotate so fast.....

Narrowest is at the front, 12 inches.
At the back, 18 inches.
In the holds, 22.5 inches.
Tray is 32 inches without front foothold, and 35 inches with hold.

Hope that makes sense... Once you ride a freak you can't even try to jump back on a superjet, even when I rode a matrix few wks back the tray felt small...

Hard to beat a Superfreak or Rickter for room in the tray!

I got to ride superwetbrett's carbon SF-6 this weekend. Wow it still handles really well. It does have a heavier motor (WDK1200) which you may expect to help or hurt handling, but I can say it handled really well. Bottom end wasn't tuned in yet so you couldn't fully explore the handling, but I was smiling and didn't want to stop riding it.

How wide are the trays on these bad boys..... A few of my buddys ride the WDK Roks, do they come close to the wideness of the roks....??? Any info would be great !

I think he actually has a 140mm mag.

I love the footholds. However, I screwed up and didn't put enough pad on the tops. Now I have to hack into my gorgeous turf job to add some more pad.

Thanks for the replies. I hope to be pulling the trigger on a freak towards the end of the year so for now I'm getting ideas and buying some of the small parts that will nickel and dime you. I've have had a hand in building two so I know every little part I will need. And yes when riding the freak for just a few minutes makes getting back on the SJ feel like riding a couch.

We are working on a surf foot well that"ll be 23" wide all the way back past the rear of the gunnel for you guys that like to have a dance party in the tray surf style . Yes It is a rip off of Bretts, Lucas, and Josh idea.
