Since I have seen the SF in action in Surf in person and on video in the flatwater, what I want to know is how does it handle carving at speed? I have a SJ with tubbies and my ski doesn't carve nearly as good as an FX1 but it's still a blast carving the creeks. I would be curious to see what a SF would do on a creek ride....

1. How are you all mounting total loss when using the front foot hold ? My plate is to large and cannot be made any smaller with out a lot of work ?

2. What are you using to make cable tie attachment points for your wires water line etc. ?

3. Many more questions to ask

Kevin,
I just finished a TL mounting project this past weekend. It requires a very compact mounting plate. I had a few obstacles to overcome since I had already installed my primer and bilge switch when I was running a oem ebox with the epic. The switches required a specific mounting plate design but the overall dimensions I had were: 5 3/4" x 13" and that fills the entire void from the top of ffh to hood lip. My aluminum mounting plate was way to big and I didn't want to spend the time trying to cut it. Mcdog had some 3/8" thick, clear lexan that I cut super quick with a miter saw and then smoothed the edges with a dremel. Making the actual plate took me maybe 20 mins. I'll snap a pic to show u my hardware layout. It's def compact but it works well.
I found some low profile grommets that u can hit with a dab of epoxy or superglue to mount as zip tie holds for securing wiring and fuel lines. I got those from ace hardware in a 20 pack. Theyre 1" squares with a raised area of 1/4" that has holes to route zip ties through.

run the shifty module and cut some 1/8 aluminum plate. you should have enough room to get a battery by on the exhaust side. if you need a pic i'll hunt one tomorrow. but, you only need like 3 3/4x 12 1/2" to mount everything.

I raced for about 6 years. The SF carves better than any other light weight aftermarket hull I have ridden. However, that doesn't mean it carves like a race boat by any means. You will never get it to carve like a SXR. In my opinion you can't get a hull that light to really carve hard at high speed. I would think a glass version would probably carve much better since it weighs a little more. The hull really wants to turn though. If you are hood riding and crank the bars hard prepare to high side because that thing is turning! It took me a few tries to figure out how to make it slide when on the hood.

Fyi weighed every thing on a shipping scale last night. Should be in the 250 range ready to ride. I estamate that ill drop approx 90 pounds +or - a few. Hull with hood and pole brackets came in at 66 lbs.

Nothing is going to fit between the motor and the FFH. There is barely enough room for the stock ebox in the standard mounting location and the motor.

Mine should fit after re wiring and moving some things around. What if you put the TL plate on an angle and used Tobys idea . Several options nun are easy . Thanks for the help my 615 brother . To all Freakers or not Feel free to post TL mounting pics .

See the " TL " right before mounting pics in your quote ....... is yours a " TL " pic ? I think not mister man . I see you have a fancy e-box bracket . I think I pick up an inch by mounting it flush.
