Nah didn't see the ad. I wonder who he's selling to because I seriously doubt it's anyone on this forum and standup jetskiing is too small to burn an entire forum.

The pole bracket was actually twisted by 1/4" on opposite corners. The pictures were after 10 minutes of hammering and clamping it in a vise. Took me another 20-30 minutes of heating and bending to get it relatively flat.

Here are a few pictures of my progress. That thick @ss piece I cut out weighed 1.3lbs which seems ridiculous! Gramted I added a couple layers of fiberglass last night before bailing on that idea and going with the new one but still.

To lay in the new home for the bracket, I super glued the front and back edges of the fiberglass cloth, laid the bracket on it, and pulled the side tight to get a flat surface. Then I added a layer underneith to add a little extra meat for later. When that dries, I'll start to really beef it up.

It's a cobalt blue with lime green turf so it might have a hint of purple in the right light. I never saw your stunt hull in Daytona. Did you take it out on the water?

I laid 3-4 layers of 12oz biax last night. I was hesitant if that would be enough or not so I asked the best hull maker I know...Berky. He recommended more and basically said that over engineering on the pole mount is a good idea so I added some extra weave in the direction of highest loading and extended it further past the mount. Then added a layer of carbon for good measures.

lt should be strong after what you have done.Tom21 told me once to add a layer then go 3" larger on the next layer.Makes sense.

Ok I finally got the top side smoothed out. Got the bracket all lined up too. Trying to figure out the best way to repaint it without making it look terrible. I may just go with a different color and add some kind of pattern so that it looks intentional.

Hella good work man. I'm impressed. Just tape off the nose with some design or a straight line and paint that area whatever color...lime green, or tape it off and repaint the same color with a pinstripe break in it and make the pinstripe lime green.

Just watching paint dry on the pole area. I'm pretty happy with how the paint mix turned out. I think the plan of making it look planned worked. I thought about adding more grey to the rear and the hood but decided against it.

Ok I want to get some opinions on inserts and options. The front two intake grate inserts are sitting on my floor. One of the pump bolts is missing and another one spins but somehow I can't get it out of place. I'd really really like to be able to use some kind of rivet nut so that I can just install them from the outside but I'm not sure about the tooling required.

l have used a lot of them over the years on cars and trucks. From roof racks to rear wind deflectors.l use the aluminum ones on lighter weight items and then steel on the heavier ones. The tool is a fancy rivet gun.But the steel ones are a bitch to install. The only problem l see is you need a rivnut that won't rust or corrode and still be strong enough to hold up to abuse.

Now I've done it! The hope is get rid of that god awful abrupt turn up in the nose. It looks hideous and it makes the ski plow a bit in big chop. Hopefully I don't make it worse but we'll see...
